I wish I was as particular as you with my clothes, I always make huge orders of cheap crap online and keep everything even if the pieces don’t fit as they should (like 80% of the time) and then they end up unused in my closet! I should totally adopt your mindset, especially for sustainability reasons. Thank you for inspiring me ❤️
Yes! Would love to see some sewing crafty vlogs! I have my own 1940s singer seeing machine but never use it as it’s a bit of a dinosaur and doesn’t like to play ball, so got a basic sewing machine to make the kids some clothes but haven’t got round to that either 🤣

That gingham playsuit is stunning on you! And the jumpsuit WITH POCKETS is fabulous!! I know you don’t buy clothes as often as you used to. However, when you do you choose some amazing pieces! ASOS are the worst for the fabric being thin and see-through, I think sometimes they want us to show our bits and bobs to the world!

I was sat watching this video and when you started talking about your struggle with clothes, I thought "oooh, what about if she made her own?"...and then give minutes later you say that exact thing! There are loads of really cool pattern brands now, Tilly and the Buttons is one that springs to mind. I think that actually it would be an awesome way for you to expand on being more environmental, as it's likely any offcuts would be enough to also make clothes for Delilah. Or even eventually have a clothing Collab with someone. Totally on board with this idea and looking forward to seeing what you make! 🎉👏🏻
In Toronto there's a brand called Kotn and they make really nice Egyptian cotton basic and they have a tank that is the same fit as the one you liked!!!! It's a super ethical company as well!
You definitely should make your own clothes! You seem to know exactly what you like and often seem to love a cut but not the fabric. Would love to watch some content on making your own clothes!

Not sure if you are from the U.K but from my primary school memories they still have naps between the age of 3-4 before they start a full day of school usually age 4-5
@@241Genevieve Maybe it's different in different cultures? I work in a preschool in Sweden with kids the ages of 3-5 and only 2 kids in my group of 20 still nap after dinner, the rest of us have relaxation time where we read and lay around.

I am the same. I have very few summer-appropriate pieces, so for this year vacay I had to buy everything from sandals and swimsuits to dresses. And I am still looking for more, because I like to have back-ups.
If you want to start making your own clothes, you can probably find a sewing class that'll a) teach you to use a sewing machine again and b) show you basics of making clothes too. Sometimes they'll hold them at haberdashers or sewing machine shops or just local craft centres :)

I’m petite but that and my hips have always been the biggest part of me! Also do I spot Everlane undergarments?? They’re so comfortable!
Nooo Rhiannon you do not have a big bum!!! You could practically put your cup of coffee on the shelf where my bum sticks out! (Being size 8 up top and only 5ft 3 it makes jeans shopping very difficult when you've got a butt like this to squeeze in to them, stupid pear shapes lol) The yellow playsuit really suited you, hope you manage to find it in a size that fits you more comfortably! 😊
You sound just like me! Also 5’3”, also a size 8 on top but around a 12 maybe even 14 (!) on the bottom and it’s soooo frustrating!! Especially because I’ve put on some weight over the last few years the difference is even bigger now than it was before so shopping is always a nightmare. Don’t even about the jeans 😭 I love that yellow gingham playsuit btw Rhiannon, shocked that that was an 8! I swear they’re shrinking sizes down now 😪

I've started sewing more recently as well and there are loads of new pattern companies and some free patterns as well, Tilly and the buttons have great instructions, check out some videos of great patterns for beginners!
We use Milk&More and have done for almost a year now (would have been longer if I’d realised we could use them in our old flat). The lids are also from there ☺️
If you want to watch a podcaster for sewing tips/inspiration who has a similar build to yours, I’d recommend Voolenvine here on RU-vid. The second half of her videos are usually on her sewing projects (the first half being on knitting), and I think you might enjoy watching them.
@@RhiannonAshleeVlogs omg you replied! It's near a window so it gets bright light, but not direct. I have a string of hearts next to it which is thriving. I've watered it about once every two weeks ish.
@@RhiannonAshleeVlogs during the summer (when I got it) the windows were open all the time because of the heat. Now that it's autumn season I open the windows twice a day for a few minutes to get fresh air and that's it. Maybe I just need to change it's location🤔
Oh sewing is so so fun- and there are such good patterns out there now from indie designers! Eg search #persephonepants on Instagram and you will be amazed Rhiannon!
