What I really appreciated in this one is how you added this warmth to the field and the hills with the yellow underneath, the layering of color was a lesson I'll remember - tks so much. Reminds me of where I was born - Ireland.
This is great, and it's fabulous to see the various techniques integrated into one painting. I love the spirit of your paintings - your style is what watercolor is all about. Thanks so much!
You are so good! It's really great that you explain what you're doing every step of the way, right down to telling us when you rinse your brush. So many 'tutorials' are just watching people paint, which is lovely, but it's nice to actually learn what colors are getting mixed, how much water, etc. You're the best!
You are great artist and excellent teacher I am learning different techniques from you I am bigganer and I definitely try to painting this landscape thanks 🙏

You just get better and better,Karen. I love all the techniques ! You are quite the talented teacher because you make me enjoy painting as you approach success as just a sprinkle and a splatter. 😊
I am a complete beginner in watercolour and watching this has amazed me. Wow. I have so much to learn. Thank you so much. Now back to practice and beginners videos....
Excellent piece Karen! Thanks a lot for sharing it! I loved the texture on the hills! So natural, like landslides! Hope to see more of Glazing in next videos!
Ths was beautiful and extraordinary !thank you Karen ..I liked that you incorporate the different techniques in the same painting.Definitely one to try .
Beautiful painting! I love your detailed step-by-step explanation! So easy to follow. Can’t wait to put all this to use in my own painting! Thank you!! 😊
Like many, I enjoyed seeing how you made all the techniques worked so harmoniously together. I had trouble with the cling film technique mostly because it was really difficult to contain bits of wet paint that got pushed into my sky. Practice will help but, I was also wondering whether covering the sky at the edge of the hills would help prevent that.
Thank you Karen. Sometimes I feel like I’ve got the hang of watercolor and then I regress. 😫. I think it’s time to purchase some good quality brushes. ❤️
Our little art group have an exhibition every year in the village hall,we are all different levels and our August exhibition has become quite well known now with the tourist that come to Cornwall , for the first time we exhibited at Easter,we find every year there are trends in to what people like and don't like ,this year it was signatures ? we had quite a few people not wanting the painting signed by the artist,it's baffled all our artists some who have paintings in Galleries ,( not me haha ) it's made me a bit nervous now should I just carry on until the trend goes away it's very strange.. Anyway thank you again for the inspiration Karen,I have lost my mojo lately so you have given me a bit of inspiration thank you x
I’m so pleased some of my tutorials have helped. I have been there… sometimes it’s good to take a break and just find out stuff that inspires us. Sketchbooks help as well. I always forget to sign my work!! 😂
So I'm in the middle of the wilderness next to a creek, with watercolor supplies, and I'm finding this plein air experience um challenging. It's beautiful outside, only a slight breeze, but its odd and everything is drying so fast.
What a wonderful tutorial. My favorite technique is the cling fill. I can't wait to paint this, several times to see how slightly different colors will affect the esthetic. Might you tell me what type round brushes you use, especially the mfg. Thank you so much
