What the reason for this fly! If you dip something that isn’t on the menu they won’t take it it’s like seeing hotdogs all around you and then comes a solo hamburger would you eat it? The fish don’t that’s why we check what’s in the air and in the water before we start fishing. Or else you can only hope for an aggressive bite and that’s not really our jam in fly fishing.
This fly is kinda cute! I like it! I am tempted to enter the giveaway but, I think it’s best save for someone who will use it and not end up displaying it going “LOOK AT THE CUTE FLY!” 😂😂
That looks sweet . Only a few different materials . Nice results . I might try this one with a bit of lead wire on the sections also , to give it enough weight to cast on my ultra lite set up .
Watched a lot of fly tying, but I'm attached to this place exclusively - I've not tied a thing, don't even have a vice (yet) - but he sure makes me think I could pull one off in a half hour or so - oh, not this one, just a single hook, this is postgraduate lvl shit I've not seen until now.... Yall know there's a drinking game here right? this session would be rough. Shots@ "Brush it out for that nice buggy look" ~ somebody else driving after only 10 minutes.
Thanks for these videos!!! I'm not a fly tier or fly fisher, but was looking for something better than plastics. I won't use them as they are filling waters with garbage and wastefully killing fish. Flies and worms tied from more durable materials are what everyone should be using. Soft plastics and plastic dough baits should be banned. I'll check out more of your bass/worn flies and give tying a go.
#Flies my husband would love a fancy fly like this! He's gotten super interested in fly fishing lately and it would be so awesome to gift him one like this!
That's wicked! I've tried segments before and made an arse of it, I caught something similar to that at my local course fishing pond and still haven't identified what it was🤷 it was aggressive when we hooked it on for bait anyway 😂
I just spent two days in the river i live on here in central NY getting 200 of these for a bait shop I work with. Im definitely saving this pattern on my fly tying playlist.
