Faith is simply believing in the one you love. Sadguru , complicated it a bit. As a kid we had faith in our father even when he was driving us thro tough terrains, We didn't need to open our mind and ask sooo many questions and get into mind calculations at every turn and bump. Faith in the right ppl will help u to enjoy the journey...!! As simple as that.
To get optimum satisfaction as also to ascribe some semblance of authenticity to it, someone should better put this question to one's own conscience ! Because, conscience never lies ; provided, ofcourse someone has any !
Why does someone having second thought - when one's own conscience has come into question ! Has someone mortgaged one's own conscience somewhere else ! How right was someone in his assessment in saying - "No one can wear two faces, one for oneself and the other for the people without getting bewildered, as to which is the real one !"
I have faith in what others told me to believe. (Yeah, Right!). I have faith in God that we will have rain. Another has faith in God that it won't rain. It is pointless to have conclusions about anything, because they may change with increased knowledge. Perhaps the best position is indifference. "It just doesn't matter." It just doesn't matter." Is it a threat to you? Did you cause it? Is it your job to "fix" it? Do you have any control over events? If not, then why should it cause any mental stress?
*Sadhguru* - _Ignorance endorsed by a great authority will not become great? This is the biggest problem that people think authority is Truth. No, Truth is the only Authority in the creation, in this existence_
