Because zhong has a stun. It's not like other modes where you can potentially wait for someone else to get it on cd for you. Yes there are some gods you can still play around it if they can interrupt or escape it, but zhong Is not one of them. He is a close range mage with insane burst potential. You put all your points in an ability you can't use, you have 0 chance of winning the fight.
