Just wanted to stop in to say that many months ago I was inspired by the Tracker grape resolutions to get healthy and as of today I weighed in and have dropped 55lbs. I have been eating plant based like Tim and Jen do at home and was inspired by Tim's RunDisney event to give jogging a try again. I can really say I haven't been happier or healthier in a long time. Thank you Trackers!! PS: Don't cry over spilled blueberries when all of your lemon and grape wishes are coming true!! 😀
Not Jackson doing the food reviews now! 😭 that was adorable. Also, the fact that I opened RU-vid and thought 'wow it's the blueberry festival again already? That came around quick' suggests I have been living vicariously through you guys for too long!
I have so many ideas for Blueberry food items! Maybe I’ll become one of the vendors next year, hmmm 🤔 The blueberry festival shirt looks so cool! All the stuff you got look great! It’s a blueberry success 😁
Everyone I know who owns a chair like the one you guys bought affectionately refers to it as their "awesome chair." I hope that it brings awesomeness to your life.
My mom and I had a booth right next to the coffee booth (the Bakehouse one)! I almost said hi but didn’t want to bother your family! So cool you were there!
Hey Jenn, Here in New Zealand we call that plant a Feijoa! Right now they are every where here, we usually get a month or so where everyone is giving them away!
Local Street Festivals are so fun and interesting things you can buy. I miss our small town street festivals , covid kind of changed that and maybe we will start them again next year, maybe. It's Great Seeing Jackson and Oliver enjoying some good ol street festival 😊 'm not a Blueberry fan, but I'd probably still go to that festival , just to go to a festival 😅 I hope to enjoy a street festival again in my town someday. This was interesting. Oh and when it comes to plant growing. Be sure to get soil that has plant nutrients added or plant food. Be sure the roots have room to grow and spread out, the sice of the flower pot is very important to help plants grow healthy to. I have 5 diffrent plants i have been taking care of in my house for 10 years and change the soil once every 2 years. Water the plants once a week. Good Luck Growing your new plant. Be Safe Take Care ❤❤❤❤
Here in CA we have several “highbush” blueberry plants that do well here, but you should get some, they’d do great! We also have a 15-foot pineapple guava we grew from cuttings from my grandparents old house. We love it in front of a West facing window, keeps it cooler, and the dappled sun through it is amazing. Little birds love the sweet bud petals, but we usually get lovely fruit too, delicious! I think you’ll really enjoy that one 🤗 Wish we could grow Plumeria! Gell in love in Hawaii, and now it’s my favorite smell & moisturizer.
We have a place here called "Three Little Pigs" and they have a BBQ Sundae which is pretty much what your Cowboy Cup was. Layered like that but in a mason jar with bbq beans, pulled pork and cole slaw. Layered all the way to the top. Then they put on a cherry and stick in a pickle spear. It's sooooooo good! That's the thing I always get when I go there.
With blueberry bushes, it's best to have at least two of two different species planted near each other to assist the bees with cross pollination. We are from NY State and only have two bushes but we got a great yield of berries last year.
I love a good local festival! Up our way in the Big Bend there is the Sopchoppy Worm Gruntin’ Festival - not to be missed! It’s always the second Saturday in April if you want to pencil it in for 2025!! 😂
The way I leapt to the comment section! Those “pineapple guavas” are feijoas!!! Native to Brazil but we go mad for these little guys in NZ. Feijoa season is early to mid autumn, so Mar-Apr in the southern hemisphere, and for 6 weeks or so you can’t go anywhere without seeing them. If you’re lucky you’d have a Feijoa tree in your garden, but if you don’t, someone in your office will, and they’ll bring them in by the bucketload. And then after 6 weeks, they’re gone until next year - you can tell I already miss them 😢
We used to live in NY where we had very hard water. (Now we live in Portland OR with very soft water). We had a water softener in NY. Two words. DO IT! It makes a huge difference.
The newer windows in houses filterout UV so if you have a plant that likes sun, it ususally won't do well inside,. You might want to plant your guava outside.
I’ve never had any luck with plumeria. I don’t know why. The guava I would immediately look at its soil acid, watering schedule, and fertilizer type. Guava is kinda exacting on its conditions. I would immediately look up everything on it as if it fruits what do you do.
I love you guys and have been watching you for years. Why didn’t you pick up the blue berries you spilled and rinse them 😂😂 you know they come from outside right?
That plant is a fejioa said fee Jo ah and they grow them in New Zealand were I’m from but I now live in the uk and sadly we don’t have them you can make a really nice jam from them but they are nice just on their own scoop out the yellow pulp with a spoon
I live in Southern California high Desert. I kill everything that I buy when it comes to plants. I have no luck at all. So was little comfort know that you guys don’t have much luck with plants than I do.
i make something simular during Big E time (the sundae cup) with mash patatoes, pulled BBQ chicken, more mash patatoes and topped with a grape tomato (i was sad that i can only go to the Big E once this year so that kind of helped) i dono if you (in Florda) has anything like the Big E, but when ever someone tells me to ¨describe the Big E¨ its like a smaller New York World fair kind of thing only not? I dono its hard to explain.
I wouldn’t even try to garden with blueberries. You need a ton of acid and Florida just doesn’t have enough acidity in the soil. Plus it actually requires a full freeze and snow to actually bloom. Only farms have success with berry plants but the average home gardener just doesn’t have the resources for it. Skip it. Strawberries, grapes, and other acidic plants I would avoid. Stick to citrus as Florida has exactly the right conditions for it. I grow tomatoes, eggplant, onions, and citrus every year. I also have a rare Japanese kumquat tree that is back there.
