About Sierra and Stephen IRL
Hey friends! I’m Sierra Schultzzie and this is my vlog channel with my husband, Stephen. We started vlogging 5 years ago to document planning our wedding and growing together as a young married couple, and the channel has now really become our passion project. We love creating travel vlogs, disneyland vlogs, showing behind the scenes of creating my fashion and lifestyle videos, and all the little ups and downs of our unfiltered, real life. Honestly I live in Orlando,FL and would not be offended if you posted that video. Scary things happen in our world everyday and sharing a positive, joyful special moment actually gives people hope as to what life can go back to or look like. Either way as someone who lives less than 30 mins from Disney life will get better. There re so many resources available to families here, you would be surprised at how quickly most Floridans bounce back. ❤❤❤

Still watching but I just have to say I LOVE that you let Grace pick her own outfits and hairstyles. It shows she’s becoming a little person who can express herself and make her own choices. Thank you for allowing Grace to express herself and showing her that the most important thing in life is her and her choices! I think communicating with small children through gestures is so clever - i feel like its super easy to understand when language isnt that accessable to children yet. Has she mentioned why she started it? Like is there a family member that uses sign laguage?

Yay for a new vlog!! I am loving that you are using sign language. When my daughter was a baby we watched the ‘signing time’ videos so that she could learn to communicate with my deaf son. How are you learning sign language? I would love to hear more about this.

That’s so great that your whole family can sign together with your son! I took ASL in college so up until a few weeks ago I was just using the signs I already knew for words she used often, but now her ability is reaching beyond what I remember from class, so I’ve been looking up signs on RU-vid. I’ll have to check out signing time, thank you!

As an early educator, that activity is wonderful for fine motor strengthening! I use it a lot with my students. It teaches lots of vocab (tear, squish, crumple, color naming, etc), introduces textures and texture vocab words, and allows her to explore cause and effect! You also do a magnificent job of explaining what you’re doing with her!

During the hurricane without power and access to people with limited service prior I downloaded podcast episodes on my phone to listen to on Spotify. With the phone screen off it didn't drain the phone battery much and kept me occupied in the evening when the sun was going down and I couldn't read from lack or light. Same for the mornings before the sun was up. Thank you for doing the podcast because it was a way to get away from the stress of being home.

If your interested in taking Grace there is a model railroad museum in Balboa park. I work at the science museum in the park and a lot of parents tell me their kids love it there. There is also a train you can ride in Balboa park too by the zoo. Just wanted to share that with you.

I’m in SWFL, in one of the worst hit towns from Ian. Thank you for your concerns, and sensitivity to the situation, but at least for my family, watching you is a sense of normal. My 2 year old loves watching you so much that as soon as we got internet back the first thing he asked for was “miss erra”. So when or if you’re ready to share your happy memories from FL pre-storm, we’ll be excited to watch 🥰

We all had Flu A during Hurricane Ian. It was horrible! Both of my boys have medical issues (seizures and type 1 diabetes) and I absolutely hate it when they are sick. It makes everything so much more complicated. Hope your feeling better!

Very kind about how you were on the hurricane! I hope you post the vlog soon though, we are going next week. Our friend works at Disney world and actually it’s a safe haven for many during hurricanes. Locals will check in because Disney resorts are very safe with dependable Wi-Fi. The Times or NY did a piece on everyone staying there. Disney parks were closed for 3 days but then opened back up and from what we hear from family friends in Orlando they are back to business as usual. It was the Fort Myers area/coastal regions that was hit very badly.

Not sure if you know but Uncrustables are meant to be stored in the freezer:) if they are left in fridge to long they will dry out and get hard! Pre-toddler I had no clue and wasted a whole box when I didn’t freeze them lol

I actually evacuated to Orlando from the west coast. Was two minutes from Epcot (so close and yet so far!) and the whole area around us was completely fine-just lots of branches down, some debris, ripped screens, and a single downed tree. Never even lost power We were lucky because parts of Orlando & Kissimmee flooded and lost power.
