I'm so glad you made this episode. I have made the Molina Tunic free pattern from Mood. My wearable muslin needed adjusting. The v-neck was too high so it barely fit over my head and I had to move the bust darts a bit. For a basic, free pattern, it was okay. I've been afraid to try another but the pants you made look great on you so you have inspired me to try again. The top looks good, too, but I am 62 years old, so my crop-top days are behind me. Thanks for the episode!
Oh wow, found this pattern yesterday and as a begginer I'm glad I found ur review, i feel warned now Haha well thank u, I'm giving it a second thought. Anyways yours look amazing, they fit u so well
Your pants and top are very beautiful especially in the photos taken outside. I do like the color. You did a good job sewing and picking out an appropriate fabric and also, fitting. Good point about what attracts one to the project in the first place. Making the Caraway blouse and noticed what was cute about it to me was the neckline. It took me forever to figure out the neckline in their picture is actually a larger size that is cut off at the shoulders. Using the pattern size that fits results in a smaller, higher, less attractive neckline. This kind of thing can be confusing at the end of the day.
I'm trying out mood pattern too, but I was just confused by what it mean cut it 2 inch main fabric, like fold the fabric 2 times and then cut it? Since you're using that pattern too, is it possible if you can tell me? I'm new to this
I was confused by the pattern too! I cut the pattern as is. I didn’t fold anything. Maybe thats just in reference to folding the waistband later to make the elastic channel?
