I found a new A0 PDF Pattern Printing company that is giving me what I want - thinner paper, option for color or black and white print, a great price, good service, and they are shipping the patterns to me folded! I really don’t mind printing and taping my PDFs, but I won a prize recently from Blue Cup Shop and received my printed pattern. I was super impressed with it! I really don’t love tracing though and would hesitate to cut into an AO printed pattern so still not sold on the whole idea. 😂

I have been known to order more than 1 copy if there is only 1 page or 2 pages and then it is not so scary to cut straight in.

I apologize for making you the guinea pig - but I'm really glad to hear all your thoughts! Sounds like they are worth a try, if for no other reason than just the paper. And good grief, your foot cost half as much as locally? That's a no-brainer. I think I'm going to try folding my PDF's and storing them the way you do. I need that floor space all the rolls are taking up! xox

Hi Christine. I have used a company called The Plotted Pattern for printing. They do have three different paper types and you can just get the sized your would like printed and you can also tell them what pages you want printed. So some good options. I also love the way the patterns come folded and in envelopes with the pattern name on the envelope.

I love that these come folded! I always balk at ordering when I hit the shipping cost page because usually I only have a pattern or two to be printed. I’ll keep this company in mind though, because I’ve been thinking about getting a lot of my free patterns printed so that they’re ready to go when I want them.

I do wait until I have enough I want printed before placing an order. When we lived in Auburn I used the printing service that architects used for building plans. I really should check into whether I have a local business. Super handy if you want to print 1 or 2.

@@ChristineSewsALot oh that’s so smart! I looked into large prints form UPS a while ago, but they all had to be shipped. No stores (at least near me) could do them. A local printer like you mentioned might be worth hunting down…

Hi Christine! Thanks for the review, I'm a regular PDF Plotting customer, and have been happy with the service, too. I'm a lot farther away, and the big tube gets to me in just a couple of days, too! (UPS) They do have a newsprint option which is a lot lighter, but not tried it as yet. I'm the odd duck, I guess, I rather like unwinding all the pages! 😁 but then I store the main copy rolled. I'll probably give the other company a look. Thanks again 🤗

🙄 I have too many to store them rolled. I really do need to make more of an effort to sew all the patterns I have printed.

Thanks for sharing that Christine. Although I currently have no intention of going down the PDF printing route I enjoyed seeing how they actually come and what they look like. Now, if they came cut out ready I would be sold! 😂. It is an expensive business though by the sounds of it considering the cost of Indie patterns to start with. Thanks for the info ❤

Great video Christine! I just had 11 patterns printed at PDF plotting . I’m going try the new company next time. I’ve also thought about getting the paper patterns. But I think they are on tissue paper and I prefer to trace on Pellon 830 and it’s east when the pattern is paper.

I know what you mean on the thin tissue. Some of the Indie patterns you buy are on sturdy paper. Tilly and the Buttons and Made by Rae are both on sturdy paper.
