Are you vegan? What is your favorite vegan food? I'd love to be introduced to more!

I've never been but apparently Mr and Mrs Watson is meant to be an amazing restaurant, specializing in vegan cheeses!

@@stepheneamonn I've been doing some research and that spot kept coming up! I think I'll make it there. Good food is good food no matter what kind it is ;)

I'm vegan and usually go to chain fast food places that are easy to find in most cities like Subway (meatless meatball mariana/ tastes like chicken), Mcdonalds (new vegan burger and fries) even Starbucks in the UK have the beyond burgers. But so grateful there's a lot of options in Amsterdam.

This vegan really enjoyed your video! If you're going again I would recommend visiting one of their other locations, my favourite is the Marie Heinekenplein restaurant. I've just found they have better service and a better atmosphere. As for the trend of making vegan food just like the real thing, I'm in favour! It's an ideal way to help people transition, if they're interested in becoming vegan or vegetarian. Otherwise, it's a nice alternative for meatless Mondays. Plus "fake" meat uses far less CO2, water and land than animal agriculture does!

All very good points! I love learning more about it because I have my own opinions and perceptions based on my own experiences and beliefs, so it's so great to have you comment! My friend picked the spot, but I would be up for trying it again at a different location and trying some different foods they have.

@@aWanderlustForLife If only more people were so open to trying new things and challenging their own perceptions. I could be better at it too!

The one I went to was next to the Flower Market but there is one nearish the Albert Cuyp market. Just type "Vegan Junk Food Bar" in Google Maps to see them all! There are quite a few these days.

@@aWanderlustForLife I passed one when my wife and I visited. It looked good but was jam packed so we had Kapsalon instead! I will be back in Oct so I am looking to try some fun foods since it will be just me. Thank you for the spots and the honest feedback it really helps!

@@JasonRamosNJ How about some fine dining Dutch food? Loved Floreyn for that. De Kas is pretty epic (fancyish, sit down in a greenhouse place). Have you been to de Foodhallen? If yes, maybe venture out to World of Food in Zuid-Oost! There's a collab video in my collab playlist where I go with Amsterdam Calling. It was a few years ago, but probably still amazing. The fried chicken there is unbelievable. If you are interested in cocktail bars or wine bars, let me know and might be able to help there, too! Our website has our favorite food spots: www.awanderlustforlife.com/best_eats_amsterdam/

@@aWanderlustForLife I heard Amsterdam calling and picked up on the collab video! In our visit last year we did go to Food Hallen! I will look in to World of Food! I love the Netherlands. It always has something new to offer. I have checked off many, but still to check off is Kibbeling, Olibollen, Surnamese and another visit to the upstairs pancake house for a savory one! Fine dining is ok as long as it doesn't break the bank as this will be a solo trip. I will I will have Haarlem as a home base for 4 days and Amterdam for 3. I have only been to Alkmaar otherwise. I plan to visit Rotterdam, Leiden, Utrecht, Den Haag in that time if possible. Thank you again for your videos! You guys find some really good places!!! I am doing all my research now! De Kas looks intense! Farm to table to the most literal degree. Maybe with my wife she loves animals and unique experiences. Floreyn looks perfect as I will have a dinner meeting to host. Thank you!!!
