Seeing that you have your main source of light behind you projecting a shadow on your puzzle surface and that you are farther away from the window as well, I can't help but wonder how much faster you could be with better lighting, say by doing the same puzzle on a table right next to the window. 🤔
That’s a great question. I actually didn’t pay any attention to that when I did the puzzle, or even after when I edited this video. So I’m not sure if it affects too much (for me). I also have table behind me right by the window but it’s the regular height. For me this kitchen counter is the best because my back doesn’t bent at all as I stand all the time.
@@puzzlewithemilia I understand. For me, proper lighting makes a huge difference and that's why I suggested it. One option would be to buy a small height-adjustable table to keep near the window. For example, you could get at Ikea a small tabletop (Linnmon) and adjustable legs (Olov) for little money that would give you a surface of 100x60cm adjustable up to 90cm in height (~95cm with the tabletop). That is basically what I have at home except for a larger surface area and I use a bar stool chair when I want to sit.
Your times are great, far better than I would ever manage. 😃Images can be deceptive. Some quite often take you longer than you think they will. Tranquil Harbour was one that I did a long time ago and I wasn't timing myself then. One puzzle I did recently, Student Days, didn't take as long as I thought it would, 2hrs 16mins and 21secs. I was thinking nearer 3 hours so that was a pleasant surprise. I shall be interested to see what DonnaLouise comes up with for BOTYP4 which I think is in June. Look forward to your next video.
We did today the team final puzzle from Pussel SM with my team and everyone agreed that it felt so sloooow. But our time was 51minutes and we would have won the whole competition with that… 😅 Btw I hate that Student Days puzzle. It’s very slow for me. I actually thought that it would have been faster. But no. So wrong with that one too. Cannot wait for June!!! What have been your favorite of all BOTYP puzzles so far?
@@puzzlewithemilia Hhmm, I think it would have to be the Cute Dogs as it was a more interesting image for me. Blue car was okay but didn't really thrill me. Flora Heart was murder as that took me 9 hrs 32 mins to do! Not a big fan of shaped puzzles.
