No four c has supper duper tight curls, it’s hard to find pics online cuz ppl have a preference for loose textures but irl I have seen real 4c and it looks way different than her hair
@@nonbinarybastard I have 4c super tight curls when defined cute and small and people STILL tell me it’s not because it’s defined. I only see people saying it’s 4c in videos of girls who show their hair when it’s matted and dry lol
nah but matted hair fascinates me, like, it's the kinkiest hairstyle, yet u see no curls. it blends together and can shapeshift. even against gravity. so cool
A lot of people also don’t realize that sometimes you could have different types on certain parts of your head. Like I have 4B in the front, and 4c in the back and sides.
Honestly I never knew that, I shit you not my hair is 4C Allllll thee way around, like I legit just spent 6-7 hours myself just to get a decent Afro going on 😂😂 Sis in the video is definitely between B & C
Idk if y’all don’t know what “Don’t Shrink” means or if y’all choosing to not know. But that Don’t Shrink Gel loosens your curl pattern to give and elongated effect so it looks as if your hair didn’t shrink. Plus she coiled her hair so ofc it’s gonna look looser
hey, i just wanted to say it dosent "loosen" your curl patten, but rather it weighs your hair down so you can see pattern more clearly as 4c-4b is more prone to shrinkage
4c hair is so pretty to me. Just an FYI, 4b hair is zigzag in form. 4c is a spiral the diameter of a spring coil that collapse on itselves. When properly moisturized, it can appear 4a (spirals the diameter of a pencil or slightly larger). As a fellow 4c girlie, she definitely has 4c hair.
@@GojoTheHonoredOne9 Let's be technical. I know I'm correct in this isntance, but let's hear your rebuttal of this... cope, you call it? (Why do you think it's cope, may I ask? Is this with self-hate connotations and projections?) When you put gel in your hair, if you have 4C, does it spring loosely like that or does it have a tightly coil? Both coil, but one is slight, slightly bigger than the other. 4B tends to look like 4C when styled, but it's coil is noticeable in size when you do the curl method. The only reason her hair is looser early on is because of its porosity. It'll stay wet longer, maybe an hour or so since black hair tends to dry faster even at 3c because curly hair are more porous (tools like heat close the cuticles, making them straighter). So, from deductive reasoning alone, she has 4b, as it tends to have less porosity than 4c, and can gel like that. The more curly the hair, the more porosity it has due to how the follicle grows out of the skin, which makes the keratins a lot less in levels than straighter hair, the thickest hair strands being asian hair, which is why it takes them almost a day to airdry their hair. The water isn't penetrating their hair, and simply sits on top. This is why a lot of striaghter hair don't like moisturizing their hair, because it makes it it attract mold and dingy. When I rewatched walking dead with youtuber reactor complations, a white girl reactor said "Ricks hair is so dirty" I was like, huh? It's just wet and shiny. But now I understand. It's a whole different world with them and hair. black ahir love moisture as it'll dry slower, but not as long as straight hair until they use a relaxer or something. It's rare for me to see 4c hair act like 4b when wet or gelled. But it does exist. In conclusion, her hair is 4B.
@@GojoTheHonoredOne9 I can be wrong of course. I don't mind being wrong. But my OCD activates (actual OCD) when I see incorrect information. So, no, it's not cope. It's OCD. Some people have the condition for cleaning, mine is physical and information based.
“that’s 4b” the stigma that surrounds the term 4c is so intense that you guys sprint to any other label for her hair once you see the curls can become defined.
I actually have 4c hair, this is 4a-4b. 4c is tighter and smaller curls. I can tell bc I have a mix of 4a and 4b on the nape of my neck so there’s a difference from the rest of my head.
I don't think there is any stigma here. If anything it's proper education. I have mainly 4c hair and yes I do get defined curls but it's not as loose as this lady's curls. I would say she has mix of 4a, 4b and 4b. However 4b is more than the rest. Those saying everybody's 4c hair is different clearly don't know better. It's good people know this so they dont have unrealistic expectations for their curls, only to be disappointed
Yo that literally 4b I have 4c .I know how 4c hair behave there is no way u going to pack 4c and it will remain the same length Remember it shrink 5 percent of your hair length and those curl pattern are not 4c .
I’m in the middle of using it rn and I seen so many natural girlies using it and just went and got it too! It’s super affordable as well. I’m 4b 4c and it works amazing! It’s also really lightweight when it dries, no frizz and no flaking it’s perfect!!! I always wanted to define my curls and make it pop with lightweight product!! I’m so happy!!😊😊
I have a mix of 4a front and sides, 3C the very back and nape and 4c at the crown. Since my hair drinks up everything I put into it, I use a leave in conditioner then put gel on my strands. Using a leave in conditioner with a gel pairs very well together.
There isn’t an exact way that 4c hair gotta be. I’m pretty sure my bf got 4c hair and his curls can be defined, but they don’t look like this. They are like perfect coils. Like no space between each ringlet as it comes down and the circumference of an apple charger cord. Maybe it’s 4b but idk someone educate me
She's using aunt Jackie's don't shrink. Meaning that product has elongation properties/ingredients in it to keep your hair from shrinking as much. It is also on the heavier side of a gel so it will weigh down the curl making it looser in appearance as well as using the shingle method or individually curling each coil into separate ringlets. This is manipulating and elongating or the natural coil into another shape or size also with weighing it down. 😊
4C hair is just really compact CURLS. They just arent as super defined. Since 4C hair looks 4A when those gels are applied, I like it non-defined. No other texture is like 4C, and I wish the pressure to have a defined curl pattern would stop. If a 4C wants curls np, but please do not want them because you think 4C is less pretty. My 3C-4A could NEVA do what 4C hair can do style wise.
No, her hair just isn’t 4C. We need to abolish that BS hair typing system, anyway. All afro hair can curl. Maybe try to find a different tutorial that more closely reflects your hair type.
Guys no one is saying 4c cant be defined i have 4c hair and my hair is tighter than hers (which i didnt realize until i bought the product sadly) idk what her hair type cus im not an expert but its not 4c
I think everyone needs to realize that not all 4c hair is going to look the same. Most of us have more than one texture in our head also not everyone shares the same genetics. I feel she knows her hair better than we do. Her hair is stretched right now
@@holygirl.fa1thit’s not. Everyone’s 4C hair is NOT different. The hair typing chart is as simple as if your hair has a certain curl it is the hair type that matches that curl type. If “4C hair can be defined to look like this” WITH gel. IT is not 4C. This goes against what is classified as 4C hair.
Perhaps there needs to be an additional category for hair.,4D. I have the coarsest texture of hair. it's so coarse it's almost water resistant. When I'm growing out, a relaxer, my new growth feels like wooley brillo, not Soft wooley. Ironically, my grade takes to realxers with an almost perfect result? ?.... so if her hair is 4c , then im definitely a 4D.
