Kolkata is a city of "Color".. The most festive,colorfulness & lots of things u'll find in Kolkata..i m from Bangladesh bt when i went to Kolkata for the frst tym i jst fell in love with tht❤❤❤ wht a city yaar

you look great in sarees. But I want to correct you a little thing that, these arts are not only of Kolkata, but these arts are also from all over the united Bengal area. simply Kolkata does not represent whole Bengal.

Neither traditional saree shops nor typical Bengali sarees were showcased. Anything that is sold in kolkata is not a specialty of kolkata

You have missed out on all the heritage Saree shops of Kolkata.. The most famous ones.. The places you visited are mostly boutiques and not so popular in here.. The authentic ones you must have visited are - Adi Indian Silk House, Mohini Mohun Kanjilal, Priyo Gopal Bishoyee, Adi Dhakeshwari Bastralay etc..

You must visit Adi Dhakeshwari Bastralaya in Rash Behari Avenue, Gariahat, Kolkata. Established in 1925. Famous filmstar and singers used to buy sarees from here.

Like there is nothing called Bengali saree commonly called everywhere....it is the color combo of white and red....the sari type can be anything like kanjivaram or banarasi....or any other kind....so it is basically just the color combo not the variety of sari....😅

Come to south also, and try mysore silk
