I have very dry skin and I really like Even Better Foundation. I have bought cheap and expansive foundation over the past 2 years. Lancome was good for a while but, I still like this one more. About the same price or a little cheaper and works better.
The Even Better Glow looks beautiful!! 💕 Thank you for all the clinique vids - Im new at Ulta & am using your vids as part of my training. Thank you for sharing your knowledge ~ it is most appreciated!! 😅👍💕💕💕
I love the even better glow and will not use anything else. It matches my skin so well, is sheer and natural looking and stays put with a setting spray :)
Clinique was the first brand I went to. I wore superrfit on my wedding day. I miss that foundation! I'm 40 lol and recently went right back to clinique. I love the double powder. Great video
Hi Amy, thanks for your honest reviews. I thought it was adorable that your mother was in there helping you out! I have tried Almost Powder and I really like that one. I tried the newest powder foundation and I thought that one was really bad. The Even Better Glow foundation made my skin peel off after about 3 days of use. They have some great skincare though. I find that I have great success when I use a whole routine of their skin care.
Kara L Thanks for your comment Kara! Glad you like the videos. I’ve never really considered a powder foundation- are they always really matte? That’s a shame about Even Better Glow. I hope that was with a sample and you hadn’t already purchased a full size bottle!
@@AmyAstridBeauty I love powder foundation! I love the way it clings to the skin. As long as the user has a good skincare routine it's great. I haven't used liquid foundation in about 10 years. Some of them are more matte than others, but overall I usually use bare minerals original. Next I'm going to try the other Clinique one that's called something like double powder.
Hi Amy, thank you for this video, I enjoyed it! I personally use the Superbalanced foundation, and I have been happy with it for several years now. I do not think it is full coverage either, and I am also a person who does not go full glam everyday (or maybe ever :)) On a long long day, it can just disappear from my face on places that I tend to touch. Probably I do not use enough product, and forget occasionally not to touch my face... It gives a natural finish, I have drier skin, and it is neither matte, nor dewy on me. And based on the statistics, it is literally just me, but I admit that I like the bottle. When you have a pump in a bottle like this, there will be a 1-2 millimeter layer of product at the bottom that the straw of the pump would never reach... I think that is a bigger waste. As your Mom, I pour it onto the back of my hand (clean hand, of course) and if I poured too much, I can scrape it back with the neck of the bottle. To me, a bottle lasts approx 6 months. I have fair skin, and use very little for one application. In the winter, an extra moisturizing primer is good to have underneath it. When I do not moisturize enough, fine lines can get more emphasized. A looong time ago, I used the Even Better one (no variants of it were around then), and I remember liking it, and I remember that it was shimmery a bit. I liked that, and often think about to buy that as well (or now, the Glow variant), and use it as a mix-in into the Superbalanced. The Beyond Perfecting is not attractive to me either, I have not tried it, and I won't for sure. It seems very very thick, and I think of it more as a concealer than a foundation. But for a concealer, 30 ml is a lot, so it is just not a suitable product for me.
Szilvia Schvarcinger so glad you enjoyed the video Szilvia! And thank you for your comment. I’m sure anyone who reads it who is considering the Superbalanced foundation will find it so helpful and it’s particularly helpful for me as it’s the one I wasn’t able to try. Definitely would be interested to hear how you get on with the Even Better Glow Foundation. I loved it! ❤️
Totally agree about the glass bottle. I like to put the foundation on the back of my hand and use from there (as you do in the video) - but bashing the glass bottle on your hand.... well., it's not great. Shame they aren't all in the same packaging. The thing I am most struggling with is finding the right shade despite going to several different Clinique counters and using their website online chat. The numbers and colours vary across the different types of foundation which also makes it confusing - and now they are changing all their numbers. I was hoping to see a review of the Stay Matte one too?
thank you Amy for this awesome comparison video :) I wanna try a Clinique foundation, but had no clue which one would be the best for my skin. I have combo skin, so almost every foundation clings into my dry patches and will be very oily after some hours in my T-Zone.... worst skin type ever !! :D So.. which one would be good for me, in your opinion? I still can't decide: even better glow, even better refresh, or super balanced? help :(
Could you do a video on the Clinique ID moisturising tone up gel (I think it’s exclusively available through the Clinique website) to go with the others in your series please 🙏🏻 I really trust your opinion! 😘 x
Very helpful review. Liked the interview with mom. Question what your mom uses now as foundation and why did she change? Haven’t tried any Clinique foundation, was doing some research before purchase. You have such a joyful and refreshing demeanor. Enjoyed this content.
Super helpful! especially because I cant go in store now (Melbourne, boo) and test on my own skin or ask an expert, I have to trust my gut purchasing online! thank you, this sold me on even better glow :)
Thank you this was so helpful as I’ve been using the beyond perfecting one for a while now but yes I’ve found it Is thick and that’s only using a tiny amount and starts to rub off I would say it is perfect for a night out but not for everyday use going to definitely try the one you use everyday as that looked really natural and overall nice on the skin hoping it will last all day - thanks again 👏🏼
That foundation didn’t come in my shade for my skin tone. Every time I gave the one I needed to buy because I struggled hard with acne, a second chance it oxidized me to an orange color (not even a slightly apricot but orange literally), it was not flattering at all :/. so, I’ve stayed away from Clinique since.
Hello! Thank you for this video! I was an *avid* Clinique wearer but then they discontinued the City Base compacts - they were a cream to powder finish compact - some years ago and I haven’t used Clinique since. My skin has never looked as good as it did when I wore it, though, and now I’m hoping to go back and find something comparable to the City Base. Any suggestions? Once again, thank you for the info!!
@@jessicag8505 Dr Irena Eris Mattifying Liquid Powder foundation - natural and matt effect and the same time, but coverage is only medium :) I definitely didn't like the Lancome Taint Idole Ultra Wear (too heavy) or Bobbi Brown Weightless Skin (too satin). And what is your the best foundation? :)
Hi Amy my fabourite eever foundation was Clinique Dewy Smooth which was my holy grail. Do any of the ones you have tried come close to that foundation?
did you get the same shade in both even better and beyond perfecting. I used 'golden neutral' shade for beyond perfecting. but now i need to try even better foundation. but confused with what shade to use. i have a dance program tomorrow morning. while i am practicing my husband brought even better instead of beyond perfecting. please suggest. there is no return policy in my area. please tell soon.thanks so much. from canada
Interesting note from a contact wearer: I think it's because our eyes can get irritated easily by product near our eyes. Now, I notice it with my moisturizer too, but I do notice it more with my Clinique foundation. I also notice skin irritation too tho. I actually watched this to see if anyone else had the issues I have with Clinique 😅
The fullest coverage is Beyond Perfecting but if you’re looking to reduce/treat acne too I’d recommend the anti-blemish solutions foundation (named acne solutions in some regions)
A brush gives fuller coverage and the sponge just makes all foundations look sheer and I think the sponge is a waste of time and product. Brushes are just alot quicker too
Summer Sky brushes are definitely quicker but I think a sponge gives a more natural-looking, even finish. I suppose it’s all down to personal preference in the end!
Hi, thanks for the feedback! I like to include all of the information so if people have questions the answers are there. You can always skip through to the bits you want to see but when I watch reviews I like to have all the info about ingredients etc so those are the kinds of videos I like to make too :)
