As someone who grew up with ube, heyoooo Filipinos, I think all of the TJ's ube flavored products are very very faint and verrryyyy sweet! If I want true ube things, I'll go to the asian grocery store and/or make my own ube halaya. I appreciate the come up of Filipino food/products though!

I'm making the ube muffins right now! I spotted the mix at trader joe's yesterday and really wanted to try something with it, it's baking right now! edit: THEY'RE AMAZING OH MY GOSH- i put it in for 25, and it was really bouncy and good, (i wanted a crispier outsidde, so i put it in for 5 more) and it's perfect!!

I don't knkw what the ingredients are in that spread but that looks pale AF. ube has a vibrant color and even if it lightens when turned into a spread, it should still have that yummy ube flavor. Maybe they used a purple sweet potato and not an ube.

I moved to Walla Walla WA (middle of nowhere with no culture) from Berkeley in 2014, been dying for UBE anything and Trader Joes! I had to order some UBE extract to make my own ice cream. Thank god for amazon. LOL

i find it funny people dont like the Ube paste, because i dont like it like strait, but i like the coconuttie flavor after it. Im a strange short white girl so i don´t really know what ¨ube¨ tastes like. all ik is it´s ¨purple¨ im going to have to pick up some ube pancake mix cause that sounds good.
