Mia, please please don't let people influence you how to say some things. It's incredibly likely that your pronunciation just has to do with you being Canadian and your American audience not understanding that dialects/accents vary. I follow an Australian beauty blogger and she gets the same amount of comments about her pronunciation when it's only her Australian accent affecting it. The American pronunciation of words isn't the end all be all so please don't ever believe that you need to adjust your speech for your audience
I am a Kiwi and did not notice her pronunciation as being anything other than her accent not like when Benedict Cumberbach pronounced penguin, pen gue in while narrating a wild life documentry

If it’s itchy, wear a tank top underneath! If you wear it in black or purple, it could also be used to cover up the hole a bit to avoid your concern of flashing someone!

As someone who specializes in phonetics and phonology in Language Teaching, it's completely okay for you to be saying costume with that 'sh'/'j' sound (/ˈkɒstjuːm/), it's really common for people in the UK to pronounce it that way, even some Americans and obviously Canadians do it that way too. Don't let others make you overthink and dwell about your own speech.

if you look at the packaging its made by leg avenue and just has a fashionova lable on it ....leg avenue is there own company spencers carries the same ones same with spirit halloween so its not like its from fashinova

BeetleBabe: You could glue ribbon over the itchy part, and you could use a little illusion makeup to make the cutout look pretty overfilled. Cop: Cut the belt off. You could even add eyelets back to it pretty easy. Siren: Black shoes and tights or glue on some fake seaweed. Tink: It's cute.
