The table turned out great. It’s not bad paint but it’s too much for what you’re getting. I had someone argue that I have to use their brushes for it to turn out right. 🤦🏻♀️ so then add $22. No thanks.
I have to agree with you, I just started painting with Fusion paint and I feel the same way. It has not been self-leveling and I don't like the flatness of the paint . Because of the flatness I feel that it still needs a top coat. I am going to stay with my own homemade chalk paint , thank you for your honest review.
Fusion is the best paint! You have to use the correct paint brushes with each kind of paint. It is not a latex paint. You never use wall paint on furniture! I used fusion on my bathroom vanity, it looks smooth & professional!! Does not scratch either. A NOTE to everyone,,, you MUST use there brushes. Fusion is a mineral paint. All paints are 2 coat paints. Latex will peel!!!!!
Yeah the brushes don’t make a difference but I knew there would be people who said that. I use quality brushes so that shouldn’t be the problem. Paint doesn’t know if it’s meant for walls and what do you think people used before “furniture“ paint was branded? Latex and acrylic paints.
I paint at least two pieces of furniture plus some smalls each week. My top three paint choices are General Finishes, Fusion and Traditions All-in-one. I can easily get two dressers with one container of Fusion. We'll just agree to disagree, Soapstone is one of my favorites.
In my opinion, I hate all the paints I've used that have primer already added. When it started being really common, I was excited but after using it in different brands and in the different "levels" of paint (anywhere from the cheap apartment rehab to top line) it's just not worth it at all. Sometimes it just makes more work for me. There's no benefit to adding the primer IMO and I'd rather just have the paint. There's no way in hell I'd pay $30 for 16 oz of paint. I don't have time or money to waste... And even when it's a client's money, I never advise a product that isn't worth what it's priced at. I'm in your corner on this one for sure! The table is lovely tho!!
I painted my entire basement (and it’s a large basement) for $30 in oops paints. So if I pay $30 for 16 oz I want it be an amazing paint. This is just paint. It’s good. It’s just not $30 good.
