If you want a professional's recommendation I would advise to follow Erin Parson pn instagram, she is incredibly knowledgeable about makeup and history and is maybellines makeup artist. She has amazing recommendations

Maybe she doesn’t use those products all the time but, at least to me, she seemed very comfortable with the products & I mean, all & all it came out nice. So either she practiced before hand with these products or she genuinely likes Em. Regardless, Maybelline makes some amazing products

The Vogue videos are stupid in general. Models and pseudo celebs talking about their bad skincare routines and bad product recommendations. Toothpaste on pimples? Um hell no. Oh and their was that Bella chick who touted lemon juice and sugar on her face? Ughh, NO, NO, NO!!!

@@deathbeforedecaf7755 I mean yeah. It’s their job to look picture perfect even without makeup at all times. So their ‘real’ skincare and makeup is very extensive and pricey as well! We should take every endorsement/ video etc with a bucket of salt 😂

I don't know what it is about Gigi Hadid, but I absolutely adore her. I know she's paid by Maybelline, but I remember an interview with her and Bella when they first started really getting out there.and at that time Bella was naming a bunch of famous Makeup Artists and brands she "trusted" for her runway looks..and Gigi was all " I don't know, I just buy my makeup at the drugstore, whatever there".. and I think that's when I was like, " she's a real person".. lol..

The thing that I love about these videos is that Jessica tries new techniques, even when she isn't sure about them. So many people do the same thing every time and pretty soon, you know what they will say before they say it. Jessica is my favorite creator! She is honest about her reviews and leans more affordable because she is careful about her PR. Way to go, Jess!

I just found your channel recently and have been binging your videos ever since. Something I really appreciate about your videos, specifically with videos like this, is how you seem to really admire everyone’s personal beauty and how you’re so receptive to new ideas/techniques. A lot of people can be really critical when looking into someone else’s (especially a celebrities) routine and you are just so positive and kind! It’s refreshing. You’re just right in that beauty is so personal and it’s nice to appreciate that some people do things differently and we can all learn a thing or two :)

Loved this video, Jessica! I think your makeup turned out stunning and holy crap, that mascara just made your lashes look gorgeous!!!! And can I just disagree with you for a second?! That shadow on the inner part of your eyes looked absolutely beautiful!! Especially because you are lucky to have a ton of lid space and beautiful big eyes, I think maybe you just aren’t used to how it looks? I would suggest that you continue to try it out, and see if maybe it grows on you because it really does look so beautiful snd you have the perfect eye shape for it. I don’t know, just a thought. That eyeshadow palette is so incredible, especially given that I’ve never loved Maybelline’s shadow formulas. I also love the idea of mixing skincare products-I’m totally trying that tomorrow! I have the same issue with shadow in that upper corner of my eye. Allie Glines does that a lot as well and it looks stunning on her, but I never feel like it looks right on me-cant’ tell if it’s my eye shape, or if it actually looks great but it’s just different than what I’m used to. For what it’s worth I think your shadow looks fantastic!

They don’t test on animals. China doesn’t even bc it’s expensive and the ingredients have been tested , even those making your cruelty free products long ago. This was really laid back and fun. Thanks for not getting too deep with the techniques - it's just makeup, it washes off. I've seen a couple of videos like this from others where it seems like all they wanted to do was criticize the original video "subject" instead of thoughtfully trying the routine. Not everyone, mind you! - just a couple. You did great!

I’ve tried many, many concealers, high end and drugstore, but that Maybelline one is my all time, everyday favorite. Nothing compares. They better never discontinue it!

A few people I follow always say that if they were a normal person and didn't do RU-vid for a living that they would use that concealer bc its just that good. I haven't used it since I was a teenager but all this talk about it has me wanting to try it again. I'm having a hard time liking a lot of high end concealers.
