@@SophiG024 i mean who would order smth for 60$, I can live a week off of that if not more. I'm pretty sure it was more about the price than the taste 😂
@@sarahmorris389 How much do you think the Beef costs on it's own? That plate in raw ingredients, costs $40. Then add $20 for the labor, rent and utilities. It's worth it my dude; you don't go to a restaurant for a cheap feed, you go for an experience. If you want a cheap feed, go to McDonalds
“Eeyyy Ello young ladaey, you don’t cook the FOCKING Wellington like that you Donkey! “ “I’m sorry Sir”! “Yeah wha-evah, now get OUT! Bloody wankerr you.”
Her spending 60 dollars on a steak and vegetables while I’m having a hard time paying for 10$ worth of gas and 20 nuggets from McDonald’s is really putting my life into perspective
To be fair, $60 is not that bad for filet or a wellington, particularly from a celeb chef restaurant. There are high end places where the cheapest steak on the menu is over 100, and the priciest is a game of "how much do you want to pay".
Went to that exact restaurant in KC. My siblings also agree where it was great to experience Beef Wellington, but definitely not worth it. The filet mignon however, literal chef's kiss. That was great
@@fleuttre4510 there are things that are expensive you would order again maybe the food is just not worth the hype and the price, it was good but not $60 good
Personally the best thing about that dish for me was the purée potatoes… but the lobster risotto is a different story, 🤤. I got to meet and hug Michelle so I’m happy!
That's a pretty common joke when I was in highschool (asian school). Sometimes we mean it 20% but sometimes it's meant to be an ironic joke. Here I think lisa kind of means it.
I love the name of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants, they're just straight to the point. It wouldn't surprise me if he had a restaurant just for desserts called "Gordon Ramsay Trifle"
My parents went to Gordon Ramsays restaurant in Caesars palace while they were in Vegas, they brought my dad the wrong food, didn’t apologize whatsoever, then when he got his food it was just mediocre at best.
oh whoa. i was in vegas a few days ago. was it the hell's kitchen restaurant or the pub and grill one? we were considering going there to eat but the reservations had to be made days prior.
I love how Gordon is acknowledging that Paul is his colleague and a really good Chef who lost his fire. When he said "I'm your bit**" 😂 omg I love Gordon
We have one here in Baltimore & they didn’t give you the sauce!! The sauce really makes it but I admit it’s very expensive & not always worth it but I loved the lobster risotto & beef Wellington at horseshoe
I mean Ramsay doesn’t cut it that way, but I guess the customers can cut it any way they want, they are paying for it. It’s not like it changes the taste of it
I feel like I have waaaaayyyyyyy better things to do with my life than criticize how someone cuts a piece of food that's already cooked its literally gonna taste exactly the same 🤣
"probably not something I'd order again, but I'm grateful for the experience" says a lot about "not good as mine" 😂 We all know if something is really good, you'd want to experience it again. Doesn't necessarily mean always, but yeah, you'd want to try it again.
Had the Beef Wellington and Brussel Sprouts at Hell’s Kitchen in Vegas. Liked it a lot and definitely would be back again. I must say you pay not only for the name brand but also for the quality.
Ive been to this KC restaurant and had the tasting menu that came with half a Wellington. I can safely say a whole Wellington for $60 is fair and it was delicious.
Seems like small portions for that price but I’ve always found that really good food fills you up faster. Also, I’m sure that it is good quality ingredients.
Same for me. Though when I asked if they can remake it because it was bland they did it which tasted a lot better. But yea, the prices are a bit too much.
That's not rare though! It's cooked exactly to the right doneness that people have come to expect from a really good piece of filet mignon. It's not my thing generally but it's definitely cooked according to consumer expectations and current tastes.
People who complain about the price... try making one yourself and you'll see why they charge 60 dollars... simple as that. I've made it several times at home and I believe it's probably as good as Chef Gordon's since I've studied and done it by his instructions.
For 60 bucks I sure hope it was outstanding wow that's pricey!!!,however if u enjoyed it that's all that matters!!!Thanx 4 the video and keep them coming!!!💕👍
Those who are wondering bout the price n quantity. Italian restaurants are known for their "well done plates". Typically meaning that u don't get a big plate of food but the quality is a different story
I ate at Reunion Tower in Downtown Dallas , Texas , 10 years ago . It’s the circle shaped building looks like a microphone , and tbh the steak was $70 with 2 sides and until this day still has remember that delicious steak omg worth it but once on a lifetime why not splurge
