No loans, no investors?!?!😳 Hello!😂 Man, blessings to them fr. That's unheard of in this day and age. I hope their business continues to prosper. I really appreciate him sharing his journey thus far.
Starting small is the key then slowly scale up, it's very possible as we see here. As a fellow food business owner it's not for the weak as he says but it takes consistent dedicated work.
It's not unheard of if you have the patience and the discipline. Not everyone wants to start a business with debt. If you have patience, you wait, save and do it bootstrap.
@@the_shadow_healer definitely! I'm very impressed that they had no investors when launching the franchises. My understanding is that the process is very expensive, so I commend the dedication it must have taken to finance it, in addition to running their existing businesses. I admire their grind and sacrifice.
It's great to see a Black owned business that cares! Blessings to him and his wife... They did what the Bible says, pound the ground, and go on faith! You are soo funny and honest! I love it! It was my first time watching you, but it was definitely not my last! Hello Michigan is joining today!
As a former resident of DC, I appreciate the love all the way from Cali. Mr. Fries Man has a dope and inspiring success story. I wish him and his family nothing but the best!
I really appreciate this channel because it showcases a variety of black-owned businesses in LA that I had never heard of before. The Bible says to be fruitful and multiply, and this Great Botha is doing just that by putting these businesses on the map. Thank you for exposing us to these great entrepreneurs, Brotha. Wishing you the best.
Im working my shift at Chick-fil-a Gardena right now, and the rain is such a vibe. Mr. Fries Man is like 5 minutes from me. I might hit it up after work.
appreciate you guys more than you think, can honestly say im in the darkest place ive ever been in my life. super hard but its always a good feeling knowing theres people out there like you two.
@@ldgberg4279 This is definitely a sensitive time we live in. May the Lord (if you believe) richly bless your very soul and guide you with clear direction in Jesus name amen ❤
I remember when he first opened up the restaurant. To see where he is now and how far he’s come is absolutely amazing and I’m proud to be apart of the history he’s making . 💯
Being I haven’t had instagram in 8 years my comment might be outdated but when I had it Mr. Fries was the only one of the Food startups aside from AFNG that kept hood politics out of the business and I respected it as I would notice majority of the other startups were letting the latter be incorporated in the business and while I will always be humbled and remember my upbringing, I don’t want to go somewhere to eat and deal with all that and the rudeness but again Mr. Fries humbling❤
Yes gang politics.@@DarkerBrother MAny of the other LA businesses opening incorprated aspects of gang culture. intheir name. SNCC & Blue Kitchen to be precises
@@DarkerBrotherno. No gangs chile. Hood politics is no different than actual politics. Family friends lovers haters could all destroy your political career as in this business right in this video same thing can destroy you in the restaurant industry when u doing it on ur own
I love Mr fries man, I know Craig and his wife. They used to come into our restaurant “shrimp by you” and they were a wonderful family. Wish him nothing but success going forward!
CBS interviewed the Queen 👑 of the Mumbo Sauce from DC this morning, great interview. The sauce is popular in the DMV area. Shout out from the East Coast 😋
Women in this day & age woulda passed homie up, she saw the vision, this is what it means when it is said that a wife can multiply, she knew what his potential was even when he was like nah and she stood beside him and he came around and realized her wisdom, they built a house and it housed a franchise, the value she brought offered him the opportunity to capitalize on something great Love to see it
He could be a great businessman but a horrible person in a relationship. U see what is going on with me n Mrs turkey hut. I bet it's some woman somewhere glad she let his azz go.
@@ONKINGDAVID Around how much would one spend for that. I'd think with the 🦀 & 🦞 tho the prices would be pricing a little bit tho 😆 But at this point Im'ma keep it real I do spend extra at BOB but no longer care. When the service is GREAT, QUALITY IS GOOD, & PORTIONS are right I be ALL in 🤷🏾♀️
Oh my goodness, those fries look amazing. Yall have great business energy together, literally! His love for his business and his family was so astounding! Great job!
I enjoyed the video love me some Alex and Cam! and the food looks absolutely delicious! When the owner said he's in Atlanta...I looked it up and he is! I live in the ATL and I'm going to try the crab and shrimp fries! I will let him know LATRY GUY said come and try it! I can't wait!
Very proud of the brother who owns the spot and very proud of the brother for giving the food reviews. I like it when my guy likes everything. To young brothers doing positive things. Stay up fellas that means you to Cuzzo💪🏽✊🏽👍🏽
Had it one time, it was $25, didn’t really enjoy the flavor but I’ll try a different one. His story is very admirable, I like how him and his wife worked together from the bottom.
I remember being here while working in LA, I would always leave the shop to make sure I supported his business, I was really close to your father, I'm excited to see the growth, and your father would be ecstatic, I miss him dearly and I'm so sorry for your loss. 😔
Yessir! I went to DC about 5 years ago and had a chicken spot with the Mumbo sauce and I've been hooked ever since. I needs to go gardena to try them wings out
@@kinglion2362 original is always better. Franchisees can f u over! Keep it consistent, ya don’t franchise until you’ve got a concrete plan on how to keep everything uniformed!
We call it mild sauce I'm Chicago but it's a few suburbs that call it mambo sauce In Illinois one is Joliet, IL but we use mild sauce at all of our hoods restaurants on our wings, fries and burgers its a must have😮
😂wow I also call that taco truck the "red truck" even tho I do know the name but you ain't lied them carne asada tacos and chicken tacos with a lime or watermelon agua fresca !
I have been away from L.A.for five years I'm coming back in August for two weeks will definitely come to Mr fries as I went to and graduated from Gardena high school so I know Gardena area

FRIES ARE DEFINITELY A WEST COAST THING WE DO THEM VERY DIFFERENT CHILI CHEESE FRIES WITH PASTRAMI MEAT..ETC WELCOME TO OUR COAST SIR🎉🎉🎉🎉 MR. FRY GUY IS LEGENDARY AND YALL WENT TO THE RIGHT LOCATION 🎉🎉🎉
No Frfr tho. We love TF outta some fries out here. My son I had homemade pastrami chili cheese for dinner for about a week straight. Had that Delores Brick Chilli popping, bought two big ass bags of fries from the store and we caught the pastrami on sale in the deli sectionon sale for $5 that's usually $12 per package When I tell you that's all we ate for dinner. Omg is was ON. 😆 🤣 😂
I always wanted to stop there but never did. Those crab fries sold me. Im definitely going there this weekend. One thing about Mumbo sauce is it changes depending on who makes it. I’m from B-More and whenever I went to DC I almost never got the same tasting Mumbo sauce whenever I tried different places. Some is thicker, some sweeter, some tangier, some darker. It’s one of those things with mad different versions.
Everything is good (almost). I've patronized this business since he opened the Gardena spot. I thought the crab was terrible. It may not be artificial, but that's how it tasted. The garlic chicken is o.g. and you can't go wrong with it. I live closest to the Inglewood location, but their customer service is marginal. Gardena always has been friendly. Maybe cause "Helloooooo" is there 😂
They didn't have to sell me on anything. I LOVE me some smothered fries. I got some Texas BBQ fries at a county fair a few years ago and have been topping off my fries with meat & sauce ever since. It had queso, pulled pork, BBQ, bacon, and green onions on top of a bed of crispy fries. I would LOVE to try some lemon garlic shrimp & crab fries.
They opened a ton of franchise locations all over but many of them didn’t last long and have closed the last few years. Main things were price point (pricey), inconsistency in the food quality, no oversight etc, and lack of marketing/advertising. The Gardena location is the OG spot.
There is nothing wrong with investors and debt 👀💰. Most BILLIONAIRES and Millionaires had investors & loans building their businesses. However, this couple (if true) brought “all cash” to the table allegedly. Business credit cards? A form of debt. Nevertheless, it is so rewarding seeing Black Businesses like this take on a “franchise system” or chain with goals to expand over the U.S.🙏🏿👍🏿💯
It's in the little shopping center...Peaches hair Salon, the donut shop, nail salon. Across the street from the Shwarma spot 😂 Same side as the donut shop on Marine
