If bought a Wet & Wild lip gloss at $ Tree and put it on in the car on my way to grocery store. Thought it was a little drying on my lips so just smeared on another coat. Went to grocery, talked to some people in the store as I shopped and when I got home and looked in the mirror I was horrified! My lips were gold...I mean flat out gold! I looked like an alien. Dug out the lip gloss and saw that it wasn't lip gloss it was liquid eyeshadow! I will never put lip gloss on without looking in the mirror again.

Pay attention to the amount of product NYX gives you too! Just 1 example: All their newer primers are less than 1oz of product. If they gave you 1oz- their pricing would veer into mid range Sephora pricing.

This isn’t aimed at Jess - but I wish brands would stagger their work with influencers a little more or do more deep dives into audience crossovers. I’ve been seeing the same sponsorships across quite a few “similar” you tubers and I think it definitely dilutes the effectiveness of that sponsorship strategy. I just end up skipping them. Again, this is not a criticism of Jess more just an observation of brands wanting to connect with a certain demographic and going hard at that.

Yea it’s more about the sponsored product itself, for me. Not the RU-vid influencer! I understand they have to make a living. I just don’t buy into the products as much as I used to because I don’t feel like the influencers are as genuine about what they are selling… idk… it’s no big deal for me just made me lose interest in the stuff they promote over time! I just skip over the sponsorship portion as well.

I feel the same way about drugstore prices. To pay $12 for a drugstore mascara, I can get a high end one at like an Ulta 21 days of beauty or a half off sale at Sephora for the same price.

I absolutely love the Essence mascaras. My lashes are naturally really long and full but with their mascaras my lashes are reaching the sky 🤣 Unfortunate I always have issues with them flaking and smudging under my eyes.

I don’t like certain scents, either. Chanel has a signature scent in their products. I don’t like it because it lingers. I suffer from migraines and scented products can trigger my migraines.

I like the Catrice True Skin makeup and the Catrice waterproof powder over it. The power is fine and really seems to blur the skin texture. I also totally agree with you on the Loreal Makeup Rouge Signature Lip Stain. it is the best! It stays on really well, is super comfortable, and the color stays true. Also found another color for you to try in the Loreal Infallible Eye Shadow. I have Amber Rush (Amazon still has it) but a similar shade that looks gorgeous is Bronzed Taupe. I think you would like it. You are the best, Jessica! I think more Creators should use you as an example for integrity, chill vibes, and drama free. Love watching all of your videos!!!

I think the NYX is a pomade in pencil form, there’s a learning curve with it, you can’t really use it like a pencil, it’s more of a convenient way to use pomade, I also notice that the shades run warmer than they look as well

Essence just dropped the “new golds” collection and the bronzer and highlighter seem great!. I need to rebuy the wnw eyeshadow quads I had the originals and got rid of them because they expired 🥲. Milanis lipstick in “Dulce Caramelo” is soo pretty kind of like peachy brownish nude with some sheen.

That Flower beauty bronzer is my holy grail! As a fair skinned gal in my 40's it is the most flattering shade and it looks gorgeous both as contour but also as a sunny blush option. I LOVE IT. @@Nick-ei8lt which is why I really like Risa Does Makeup. She only refers to products as dupes if the formulas and wear times are about the same. Jenn Phelps is also really good about differentiating between a color dupe and a formula dupe. Personally I love the Elf Wow Brow, it's amazing for the price. It's the Essence brow gel that makes me scratch my head as to why everyone raves about it, it doesn't at all compare to the fibers in the Benefit Gimme Brow.

I normally don't like scents in my lipstick, but I LOVE the scent of the Milani ones. They make me feel so happy and youthful every time I use them. I feel like I actually wear them more than my other ones in large part because of the scent, the formula really is great too though.

That Catrice Hydrating Foundation is one of my HOLY grails. It was a first try first love for me. I loved it right from the first time I wore it. I especially enjoy this foundation as a mixer for other foundations. I can't not have this foundation in my collection. I can't say enough about it. It's a forever love for me and I honestly hope they don't ever take it away. I would be so heartbroken 💔

Love you hair in this video and your makeup look is gorgeous as always! My favorite item I’ve picked up at Ulta lately is actually the Good Molecules Caffeine Energized Hydrogel Eye Patches! The reason I say this is because after I wear these, no matter what concealer I put under my eyes it looks amazing! You definitely need to try these out before make up application. They are super affordable and just an amazing product. They’ve upped my concealer game!!

My favourite nude lipstick is from Mac, it’s their lustre line, which is my favourite type of lipstick and it’s in the shade jubilee. I have very fair skin and I think that this shade would be perfect for you, it’s like a nudey pinky shade and it is sooo comfy. But for drugstore you could try the maybelline cream lipstick formula in blush punch or other shades from that line, cos that’s also meant to be a very comfy formula.

Loreal Riche (gold tube lipstick) in 302 with the matching liner is probably your perfect nude. I'm the same colouring as you and that's mine! ETA: I can't see that this shade is the same in the US, and may either be Sugarplum or Sandstone (from online pictures).

I put the revolution powder foundation over my Missha bb cream and other foundations that are a little too dark and it makes them look like a perfect match! It also wears really well!

I really like your hair. I want to thank you again for your curly girl routine. I didn’t know what I was doing with my hair and I am quite a bit older than you. That Revolution powder foundation has been my God-send foundation during the pandemic which necessitated wearing a mask all the time. I'm so used to just swiping it on that now I'm challenged when I want to wear a liquid foundation again!! But you never mentioned what shade you use in it. I'm very fair so I got the 1.0 for all over and the 0.5 for using as concealer under my eyes. I cover it all with that No 7 L&L powder and it lasts all day long. I can't stop using it - it's just that good!!! And yes, your hair curly is stunning. Leave it curly!!!

L'oreal has a tubing mascara called"Double extends beauty tubes mascara" that I have been using for years. Tube is red with red cap on one end and white cap on the other. It is my favorite mascara because mascara tends to smudge on me if I wear anything else. It comes off with warm water.

I absolutely love the smell of the Milani lipsticks, it’s my fav lol. The bye bye pandas eyes is a great lower lash mascara or an amazing mascara to make your natural lashes mesh with a pair of falsies.

I have several of the products you mentioned in this video. I have the Essence blush in bespoke, which I really like and befitting, which I love! I absolutely love the Catrice fixing spray! It is a must have for my dry and mature skin. I also have the Flower Beauty bronzer, but in the shade sunrise . I prefer that shade because it has a pinkish undertone to it which is very flattering on my skin tone. It could even be worn as a blush In my opinion. Love these videos Jessica!
