Fellow Aggie here! I love visiting Davis, too. It has changed a ton since I graduated in 2010, but some of my favs are still there. Sam’s was my go to. I always got the chicken shawarma wrap, but I opted for the plate when I visited a couple months ago. Mind blown it was SO GOOD. I was missing out all those years ago lol. And I always stop by the Nugget for a sando. Ahh so nostalgic 😢

It’s funny… my kids love XingFu Tang in Flushing. Their top boba tea places to go are Coco’s & Xing Fu Tang’s. But every time they go the XFT for soft-serve, they never have it since it seems they never have enough in stock. They like the bobas for both these stores too.

Hey Meimei I graduated from Davis last year. They opened a Chinese restaurant called Hunan Style on G street. Whenever I visit I always get my first meal here. Two of my fav are 农家一碗香saute pork mushroom and egg & Changsha sesame cold noodle which is numbing and spicy. Be sure to check it out if you have time!

Just a tip I broke my Samsung fridge freezer by over stuffing it. It always closed but it was just too stuffed for it to keep cool and it died - ended up having to get a freezer chest anyway

I believe everything about Xing Fu Tang. Franchisers not following rules seems to be too common. In vegas we got our first Chatime and at first it was really good but then took a quick turn. My friend who worked there said that the owner switched from Chatime ingredients to generic ingredients to save money.

Yes, I’ve had the boba in Ximending Taiwan, very authentic. I stopped to pick up a Brown sugar Milk tea in LA and unfortunately, it definitely was not the same. Very saddening.

Ive tried 3 different korean corn dogs from the freezer 1 from a place that ruined it the way the over did the sugar coating because it was just oil sugar. And 1 frozen cheese balls i actually didnt like either. So far all the frozen ones in a stick are good

Don’t get a chest freezer, get an upright freezer instead!! Look it up!

I second the recommendation. Upright freezers allow you to see everything and easier to organize. Chest freezers are difficult to keep things well rotated and there's always that mystery item from decades ago that you accidentally buried.
