I'm really enjoying this stuff... especially the exhilaration of 'getting your feet wet'. I was waist deep early this week - Golden Hour and just off the shoulder of an offshore rocky outcrop - when the somewhat larger one came. I've got long arms and thought I'd got away with it, but weather-sealed or not, I'm down one camera body now. Worth it though - these are shots that deserve to be taken, and that also provide a quite unique sense of participating in the environment you're shooting. And yeah, that last image is really interesting for a variety of reasons. All the best from New Zealand.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the photos starting at the 5.55 minute mark. I like the Pano better but cropped in a bit on the left hand side to remove that huge rock or at least minimize it a bit, but to keep some more of that yellow in the sky compared to the wide angle. The small rock on the left hand side border is lovely though.

I really love both of them but the single wide angle image just has a stronger impact on me so I would say the second.

Loved that pano and the one immediately after. Be cool to see a perspective blend where you magnify the bridge so it has similar weight to the stacks.

I prefer the single shot over the panorama. It is more calm and simple as you said. The rocks framing the scene in the panorama add some disquietness to it. The telephoto shots from the wabes in the beginning are really cool. Need to try that when I'm by the sea next time...

I'm impressed. I clicked on this to waste a few minutes, expecting more of the same; you know the sort of thing, a pelican on a pier with long exposure water around it or such. Instead I learned a technique I've not tried and saw some stunning images that well exceed my own abilities. Thanks for making the effort Michael.

Wide shot for me. The pano is good obviously, but the simplicity of the wide shot(feels weird saying that as wide shots tend to not be simple shots) is more pleasing to my eye.

The single exposure for sure is my fave. I like that is is more simplified in terms of the composition. In the pano, I was not as keen on the rock on the left. I know it balanced with the rock bluffs on the right side of the pano, but it was just too confining for me, even though it was a wider perspective. The single image allows the viewer more imaginative freedom in my eyes. Nnice shots both of them, though! Thanks for sharing Michael.

Michael, I personally like the simple wide shot better than the panorama. The simple wide shot not only has cleaner composition and elements, but the water on the left extends outside the frame and gives breadth to the ocean. At least that’s what my brain imagines when I was looking at that photo. By the way, the 3 photos that you took with relatively long exposure (1/4s) with you tracking, your first one is my favorite. It shows calmness but at the same time conveys motion due to the basting waves. Well done!
