I was around when vhs tapes and cassettes were a thing. That was the 80’s and I was in my teens. We used 8 tracks too. Plus floppy disks were big in my 20’s. And completely gone in my late 30’s. Although by some my 53 years seems old I feel blessed by the innovative things I got to experience.
Should have read comments before I jumped in!!! 😁 I'm 53 too so I totally get what you are saying. I think we are the luckiest generation as we can be amazed by technology, knowing what it was like before, but also being young enough to adapt to it. ❤️
Yeah I was around for VHS top loading video players and cassette tapes I remember when video games were on cassette tape and took ages to load up on your commador computer that took ages to load up and it would be tennis which was a line down center of scree for net a ball and two lines that you moved up and down the edge of the screen to hit the ball lol 🤣😂 I'm so old I'm retro
When I started listening to music it was vinyl, then cassettes and 8 tracks, then CDs and on to mp3. Now I listen from my Spotify. Tells you how old I am lol. I liked the makeup look, especially the eyes
Omg floppy discs!! LOL Cassettes were my life, one of my first ones was All Saints in 1997 and oh man I would not leave my house without a Sony walkman and a pencil 😂✏️ those were the days bruh ❤️😍
Love the colours with the Disney eyeshadow. I was around for all 3.used to sit and record the top 40 on cassette And then the agony of having to wait a million years for the vhs to rewind 🤣🤣xx
Im one of your more mature viewers and always get new ideas to keep my look fresh by watching! Well! I was around even BEFORE vhs and the Internet 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 still hoping you will do the matalan first impressions soon!
Just paused to say, I was definitely around when videos and cassettes were a thing. I even remembered Betamax. I remember having only 3 or 4 channels in the tv and even remember when the plug in remote control came out 😂😂 goodness me I’m old!! 😂 but I’ll never grow old gracefully! I absolutely love watching you babe. Always get some fab ideas from you! Been with you since about 12-15k. Have loved watching you grow! Xx
Omg, I grew up with Disney vhs tapes and cassettes 🥺 And those were the best! Ofc there were floppys and OMG how can I forget the sound of our first ever internet connection in the house ADSL with that incredibly annoying sound 😂😂
You probably won't even believe this is a real thing but our first computer, which came from Radio Shack, had programs you loaded from cassette tapes!! You talk about floppy disks being old but in those early days, floppy disks weren't even thought of yet!! 🤣 Oh, and my mom's car when I was a kid had an 8 track player in it. We used to sing along to Johnny Cash and the Sound of Music soundtrack. THOSE were the days!! 🎶
I’m old enough to remember all those things! I also remember as a kid recording songs off the radio onto a cassette. Because that’s how you got your own playlist in the 90’s
You just mentioning cassette tapes triggered a memory of rushing to the tape deck to pause the recording of the Sunday charts every weekend. Then being devastated when you hear that click and the record button pops up because the cassette has come to its end! And you have to flip it over and set it to record again before the next song comes on! 😤😂
I was born 78, around when vinyl, vhs and cassettes were the thing, good times! A lot of your viewers will not know the struggle winding a cassette up with a pencil was haha xx
Floppy disk! Wow haven’t heard that in a while 😅 VHS and Cassette tapes were THE thing during my childhood - so nostalgic 🤩 love the pink purple eyeshadow look!
I'm 50 y old. I lived my youth without computers, mobiles, microwaves, videos... we had two cannels on tv and the program ended around 8pm :D We kids played outside without parents knowing were we were. We survived!
Winding back the VHS tape before taking it back to blockbuster 😂😂!! I miss those days! Im 27 and still feel 18 where has the time gone 😭 you look beautiful as always Steph ☀️❤️!
Yes I was around for cassette tapes, vhs, recording off the radio and tv, floppy discs, having only 4 channels, dial up internet. It’s been interesting to watch the innovation throughout the years.
Yes I remember tv's only in black & white, cars with "fins", rotary phones attached to the wall. 😂😂😂 8 track tapes, albums (records), tape decks & when CDs came out, I thought things couldn't get more technical. Boy was I wrong! 😂😂😂
Yes! Vhs and cassette were the bomb back when I was small and I'm 23 now. Love the look Steph, love all your videos. Would love to bump into you one day when you're in plymouth!
I remember VHS tapes, floppy disks, cassettes and LPs before CDs and DVDs were a thing. I remember dial up internet and also when we spoke to our mates on the landline because mobile phones were not a thing 🤣🤣🤣 xx
I was around when VHS,floppy disks and dial up was around. The best generation. 👌 would play outside and had to be home when the street lights came on lmao. Loved seeing the beginning of the Internet. I'm older than google!
1992 babyyy yess Cassette Tapes, VHS the whole shebang haha Love you Steph you help me everyday escape my head and focus and laugh, also learning and doing makeup following or just while I watch. THANK YOU for Being You!💯🔥✌🖤💯
I'm 24 so I was pretty young when there were casettes etc but I do remember I had a walkman (casette player) that I would take with me in the car on road trips. And definitely remember watching stuff on VHS. We used to also use blank ones to record TV shows on. All this stuff was gone though by the time I started going to school.
Absolutely had a VHS player and a cassette player…. We had to stick a pencil into the cassette when the tape came out of the cassette!!! Rewind to hear a song again no repeat button or shuffle… rough times !!!
Yessss! I had cassettes, video tapes, floppy discs and dial up… ie im old 😅 Also im on maternity leave and have bosses through so much of the real housewives of BH. I love it! I know it’s trashy and I don’t care 😁 loving your channel! You got me through so many lunchtimes in my car when we weren’t allowed to eat in our building at work because I’d Covid! Thanks Steph and merry Christmas!
I'm an 80's baby so yes I have had many vhs movies. We collected them when I was a child. It was a sad day when vcr became obsolete and we had to switch to dvd lol
Was here for all the floppy disks, VHS tapes and cassette tapes… especially when they all fell apart and you had to rush to grab a pencil to wind them back up 😂😂 1991 baby!
Hahah yes! I remember in elementary school (I’m from the US), one of the supplies we’d need in grades like 1-5 were the 3.5in floppy disc. We had computer lab where we’d play Math Munchers and Oregon Trail games using the MS DOS system and those bigger soft discs 😂 I remember using a pencil ✏️ to wind the cassette tape when the film came out. Do you remember the rotary telephones ☎️ ??
Looks great Steph love the eye look so cool xx I’m visiting Cornwall on Thursday for two weeks to see our family who live in Illogan love how your from Cornwall so cool we used to live in Cornwall in Falmouth xxxx
I was around for cassettes and vhs tapes. We even had to rent the player because most households didn't own one when they first came out because they were so expensive. So we would rent the vhs player and enough tapes to watch all weekend long.
I remember as a kid unwinding a cassette just to wind it back toghether. I know I was cruel to it. But it was kinda fun. I pulled on the string to make it loose and then turn the knobs and get it back. This is how I used to get entertained. With other stuff aswell. I wasn't just murdering old cassettes nobody listened to anymore. I mainly sat watching my granddads Russian cartoons and play with paper whilst doing whatever I wanted because my granddad allowed me to. What's funny is that he was an army man but with me was the sweetest and least strict. My mom (his daughter) wouldn't even let me blow bubbles in the bathroom. She would complain that when they `pop` they leave a mark, a ring of soap that instantly makes the house look dirty. I would wait for her to be at work and unleash the fun.
would love full kiko face! i think with the laura mercier concealer you could try using the corrector + the illuminate end to get a fuller coverage ☺️ also maybe try the kevyn aucoin as an all over illuminating powder like the hourglass ones? ☺️
Steph you missed SUCH an opportunity for a ‘thats what she said’ in this video. When you said about the brow gel… ‘it’s not to thin, it’s not too thick’ 😂😂 and yes, cassettes and videos! 1992 baby, me!
I was around for all 3. Sat in my room trying to record the top 40 every Sunday before the talking started again and watching, rewinding and re-watching Spice World movie continuously. Those were the days 👌🤣💖
Lol I was around for all of them!! I remember if you didn't rewind your tapes before you took them back to Blockbuster's...they would fine you! Ps....I right there with you in the Brow category!! 😂💙🇺🇸
I'm 31 so I have been through all the things from the 90s. Lmfaoo. I remember everything. I even remember 8 tracks even though those were like from the 70s and the 80s. Lol. I can even drive a stick shift car/truck! Wooow I'm old!!
I was def around during cassette tapes and VHS I'm probably in the older group of your audience demographic. I'm fourty-eight years of age. Hugs from central Ontario Canada 🇨🇦🐱🐈
Beauty Bay do the electric face massagers if anyone fancies the Foreo products but put off by the price. I was around when videos/cassetes were still being used. I actually remember DVD's coming out for the first time and we didn't like them cus they scratched easily whereas videos are pretty indestructible.
I was definitely around for VHS and cassettes. I’m even old enough to have used the huge floppy disks that were actually floppy: those didn’t make it out of the 1980’s for good reason.
My Mom used to be the Manager of a video store when I was a child. I LOVED going to work with her and rewinding the VHS movies that were returned wrong. Pokémon movies on VHS, oh the memories. I remember being so uncomfortable with DVDs as a child when they came out because I loved tapes so much.
