I’ve switched up how I apply my eyeshadow and I feel like it really makes a difference in the saturation. I start with the darkest color first then buff out the edges with a lighter color and it really makes the darkest color stay super saturated and deep.

Most underhyped (it was hyped lol, just not as much as I'd like) release of 2022: the Nude Prism Lunar Beauty eye palette. I thought I had received the luxe boxycharm by mistake & literally blurted out incredulously, "this for me?!?!" That palette launched me back into makeup, and at 52, I am wearing bold, bright, and/or creative looks (that are muted by my glasses, making them more wearable lol, but it's a big deal to me). That palette changed my techniques & understanding of how to apply color theory & light/dark structure, but most importantly, the sheer beauty of it, inside & out, changed how I look at myself. I am very plain/not hot & often felt weird wearing bolder makeup, like decorative (vs corrective) makeup was only for attractive people. Now I have gorggggggeous, sparkly eyes and if you don't like my meh man-face (I am a cis lady, but nobody told my face lol)... Too Bad!!! The progress in metallic formulations during my no-makeup years was crazy, and I have so many new products I love, but pulling out this particular palette makes me feel incredibly special & wonderful & like the most luxe person ever. And sometimes even pretty. ❤️❤️❤️

Random but I was watching one of your older videos and saw you using L’Oréal pro matte foundation. I’ve never used it before and my skin is changing over to oily, so I decided to give it try and I’m in love 😍 it lasts all day, doesn’t budge, and I don’t have to set my entire face anymore. I felt the same about the regular brow glue!! It definitely left white specks in my brows.. I also don’t love how shiny it leaves the brows.. not for me! But maybe I’ll give the tinted a try! The rare beauty brightener looks like a must! Love from TN 💓

Manny, watching your videos has helped me learn SO MUCH about makeup. Your face is a lot like mine (except you clearly take better care of yours) so when a product works well for you, I keep it in my head :) I've learned how to correct redness from you, and you've introduced me to SO MANY new brands that I can't wait to try! Ive got pretty thin and fine hair, which goes for the brows as well and I love the nyx brow glue. It holds good for me, and I use it after I draw a few more hairs on. I don't have any issues with it

I honestly do not understand the difference between under eye brighteners vs. just a lighter color of concealer..

Color correctors/brighteners have more color correcting pigment than a regular concealer. They also aren’t going to be full coverage, more light medium for better blending. The best example I can give is the Benefit eye brighteners, they have a subtle pink or orange or yellow or green pull to them, but if you really wanted you could use it as a concealer. Regular concealers are normally more coverage, and while they do have different pigments in them to make them more warm or cool toned, they don’t really have enough colored pigment to correct anything. People use concealer as corrector often but true correctors would typically have other skin benefiting ingredients too like vita C to brighten skin to treat. Long winded I’m sorry but I hope it helps!

The consistency is very different, I’ve felt the eye brightener and it’s super silky and liquidy. Not just that but sometimes concealers are a little too heavy or too pigmented, and for the girlies that like a no makeup look without basically having a mask under their eyes and nothing else on their face. It’s a great product! And yeah “why not just add less concealer”, but again sometimes it’s too heavy and it’ll stick to dry spots and that brightener won’t! Hope this helps ❤

I understand colour correctors (that’s how we spell colour in australia 😅), like yellow (or in my case very pale yellow), peach, green and lavender. But yeah the under eye brighteners and concealer seem the same to me too😅😅

My new year's resolution is to get myself on a stage at least once. Manny! Would you please do a video comparing all of the drugstore “serum foundations”? I am in that phase of life where I want to wear foundation, but I want the consistency to be more liquidy because it sheers out the coverage, does not feel as heavy, and is easier to apply. I have heard of a couple, such as L’oreal True Match Nude serum foundation and Neutrogena serum foundation.
