Hello my friend, have you settled down? Does your wife no longer allow you to have watch adventures? I keep thinking about your beautiful videos, I miss them so much. I spent a long time looking for the ideal watch for me. I mean, the perfect watch probably doesn't even exist. For example, my JLC Master Thin Moon is too good for everyday use. I was also thinking of a chronograph as an everyday watch. For example, I shortlisted the Longines BigEye or the Alinghi Chrono presented here. But somehow I always come back to JLC, it must be my favorite watch maker. The Polaris Automatic with the black dial is now my big favorite. I hope you get back into the swing of things. Warm greetings from the watchmaking country Germany.
Hi George, good to hear from you again. Sorry for the long hiatus from RU-vid but I am officially back and editing videos as we speak. You can expect a new video by this weekend if all goes to plan! Appreciate the support as always, Cheers
I wish you and your wife all the best for your wedding. All the best for your future. Thank you for the awesome video. Really crazy, I also just went to Wempe because of the Tudor Alinghi Chrono. Some people criticize the "Alinghi Red Bull Racing" lettering at the top of the 12th. I don't know yet whether that will be a no-buy criterion for me, I'm still undecided. I actually really like it, it would be my first chronograph. I wish you and your wife a wonderful honeymoon.
@@WatchYourFront_ Hey. . . , I forgot to answer your specific question. Tudor or waiting for Omega. I can only say something about the chronographs, and Tudor has used the extremely good B01 from Breitling here and has even made it a little better. This chronograph movement is a masterpiece, and that's why I find it more interesting as a tool watch, especially because of the Tudor prices. But I still love the Omega “Grey Side of the Moon”. So actually for me there is no either/or. There are just too many great watches.
It will be interesting if SG tudor dealers would finally start to discount, especially those not attached to a Rolex AD. For example, there's more than a few Rolex ADs that own Tudor ADs next door that either signals bundling or would prod you to take a look at a Tudor as "your first entry" prior to Rolex. In Europe, they are starting to discount on top of VAT refund. Similar experiences to getting a discount in the USA for Tudor in non Rolex AD.
@@WatchYourFront_whenever a SG Tudor AD play the "waitlist" game on any Tudor... I chuckled a bit, knowing that buying overseas (with strong SGD, VAT refund and only "8% GST add-on") would easily be done on any Tudor now...
@@sn00ze88 it is odd considering they still lose value on the grey market but perhaps they are taking a page from their bigger brother's playbook and playing the long game.
@@WatchYourFront_in the world of luxury, people want what they can't get😂... lots of regular Joes aren't in tune with the changes of the market. Therefore, it's easier to perpetuate the myth that Tudor is as hard to get as a Rolex.
