If you ever go back with your kid, some exciting roller coasters (plus top speeds) that aren’t to scary are: (going from easiest to hardest) Woodstock express, family ride 19 mph Psycho mouse, more intense family ride 32 mph Patriot, steel coaster which is good for people experiencing their first upside down moments 45 mph Grizzly, wooden roller coaster 52 mph Flight deck, Patriot but slightly more intense and inverted 50 mph gold striker, fast paced wooden coaster 56 mph (This is coming from a 12-year-old who is insanely terrified of roller coasters) I hope this helps!…
Yes, such a great amusement park - glad it's still around after so many years! Wow you went 3 times? I wish I had gotten the season pass -- I realize it's a better deal if you want to go more than once this summer :p
I was excited to see what some of the kids stuff looks like now a days. I’m 30 years old and from what I remember. It’s changed SO MUCH. Sad about the churro though and for that price! About 20 years ago Great America was AMAZING.
I hear ya! I think Great America is still a wonderful amusement park -- it's maintained and kept really well, but nothing compares to our memories from childhood!
