Hey George... Hello from across The Pond... Great video you shared today showing off the new Demo Plow... I enjoy all the different content you post here on RU-vid... It was Fantastic to finally see your Missus up in the cab with you while your working in the field... I always look forward to watching your videos... Take care and... Thanx for Sharing...
Great video no music good I like listening to you talk and explain the plow system when people talk and explain the equipment or what they're doing makes a great video keep up the good work thank you for letting me watch this video 👍🇺🇸
Really enjoyed the video thanks, I have a great interest in modern tractors with the technology in these cabs and comfort! Have pleasant memories of my Grandfather sat on his old Fordson Major tvo ploughing in the rain on his mid Wales farm, open to the elements wearing a mac with a old sack pinned over his shoulders and a trip by hat, wander what he'd think of modern day machines!
I had just watched a Liz vid earlier in the day and then the lovely kiss good-by in this video was quite the bonus. A true modern UK farming family. Brilliant!
Perfectly executed man type of plan...drop the Old Skool Fastrac bombshell on the mrs whilst she's on camera, in the middle of a field whilst ploughing away from her motor....😁👍👍👍
George thats a bloody brillant idea, suprised it wasnt thought of sooner, im not really up on my old fastrac but everyone loves somthing with old school grunt. That really would be a treat old school fastrac and the tw what a wonderful outfit that would be.Hopefully you can pull somthing together! Great video george as always
Pleased to see you using a decent plough at last. Love to know what your boss says about you messing around with drones and cameras all day. Here at PJ Lee's, my phone will ring within 3 minutes of someone seeing my tractor has stopped moving on the GPS tracker in the office. Not sure I'm with you re gps all the time, no one is allowed to plough with it here until they can set out and plough properly, and that includes finishing off.
Big thumbs up from me about the classic fastrac idea but i dont think the good lady is thinking the same as we are lol. you can really see the four wheel steer coming in to its own turning on the headlands there very nice.
Very nice plow Mr. Saunders! I like the way it adjust and the turn buckles allows for small adjustments, very important in different type soils and plowing depths. I am in Central Alabama, where is your farm? I would like to view it on Google earth. THANKS for sharing your valuable knowledge. Be very careful on the Farm, the world needs men like you!
Excellent video George, great drone shots, your ploughing looks good as well. A friend of mine uses a Fastrac 1135 to ferry his old Fordson to ploughing matches, it sounds great racing along the lanes ( he has trouble getting out of bed ) so he would be late if he didn’t get a hurry on! You can hear him before you can see him!! I think getting an older JCB would be a brilliant idea, they will become a classic in their own right.
I haven't ploughed a field in years but that land looks rock hard with the plough running high and struggling to get any depth. 8 inches is OK for tillage work but is shallow ploughing for most other jobs.
Excellent idea George....if I was u I'd try go for an old 3185....Oh that bark!! U maybe could even get a few days work with to help Henry out or hire it to the old legend!!! Score a few points with Liz too!! £££
George get an early 145 fastrac if your lucky get one with an 85k box don’t bother with any of the selctronic box ones as there just trouble and early 145 would be ideal I got one and she’s mint, say the first ones had the 85k box so you will be flying matey
Must admit, I do miss the journey videos but as you say, the new stuff just isn't the same 😣. I looked into getting a fazzy but most have had thir arses ragged out of them hence why I bought a unimog then onto a mb trac. More expensive to buy in the beginning but look after it and it will do the same. Oh and a hell of a lot fuel used and higher road speed 😊
Mb trac always get the looks, mine does but then you can here her miles off 😂. I've the 1300 so 3 sizes bigger than the 900 u and the other 2 looked at. I've some videos up if u wanna see it. Ahhh nice one lad, I'll look forward to it 👍
George what is your reason to go for a 6 plough and not use an 8 plough obviously time and fuel would appear not to be good reasons considering the paddock sizes, well explained much appreciated nice video thanks for sharing
I had the same plough last year but, with hydraulic turn over stops and hydraulic width adjustment too - snazzy. Only issue I had was i fount it hard to bury trash from the first furrow as trash would often split at the skimmer and end up on the second furrow and struggle to get buried if that makes sense. Used to end up with a line of standing loose stubble. Clodddy clay land though
We just got rid of our old t7050, the sound that came from that was sad to see go now that we have a new design t7.230 the sound is nothing in a way i feel like we downgraded but it still runs smoother and gets the job done considering the 050 was getting a bit old and rusty, but i know what you mean, the new modern tractors have terrible sound and it annoys me so much!😂
Looks like a good plough! But I would say that if youre looking at getting a new plough, you should definitely check out the new Kverneland 2500 I-plough as well. When in transporting, you drag it behing the tractor following you like a trailer, instead of it swinging everywhere. Looks really cool
Hi there George, looking good! Few questions, if you have the time to answer sometimes (or if someone else really knows) 1.can this JCB take duals? (bec. of that 4ws, i imagine with enough spacer it would have room to turn without contact of those fenders etc?) 2.is there any release of these On-land ploughs (LO and that juwel etc) or are they all solid? Shearbolts ain't nice, but at least better than nothing.. some spring system would be good, although it adds weight.. Farmer here and i am very interested of those, onland plough especially, but near future the tractor needs to be changed too so this JCB seems interesting..
Fastrac would be better for the TW to take it places, good to see it at more shows and that and the FW be nice but it is a rather large tractor, best suited for shows closer to you really.
