I used Pads all through the 40 years of my periods , due to disability tampons were never an option for me . Thankfully now 3 years post Menopause . I wish these pants had been around for decades as they would of been a godsend for me.
I know what you mean! I hear from my mom too how early pads were inconvenient and uncomfortable (they were belted and didn't stick to underwear) - even though women's reproductive health and hygiene is often neglected, I'm glad to see updates and progress. Hopefully there will be newer things that are comfortable, safe & affordable to everyone that needs them so they younger ones won't have to suffer as much as the people before them. Thanks for your comment Karen.
I have been using cloth pads for past 4-5 years and it’s been a blessing. But I have a 5-10 pads. I will definitely try these period panties too - sounds promising!
Ooh nice. Do you have a specific brand that you like? I had tried some from a US brand more than 10 years ago but I was left always feeling wet. Now I saw that there are cloth pads with moisture wicking technology, really similar to these underwear.
Hey Magali , thanks for this video . I think cup is the best , in convenience , hygiene and to control water wastage as well . In my personal opinion I feel the period panty is not so hygenic . And I don't really like the washing process . Also if it isn't washed well there are higher chances of bacterial growth .
I use the cup as my primary method and I have since 2020. However, due to a heavy flow I still get leakage on my first few days, which made me use a pad and so I'm very happy to double up with a period panty and since I'm usually home, I have no problem quickly hand washing them separately. But that's just me. While I do agree that cup is best, and advocate for it constantly there are many women who are frightened of using one or just not comfortable with insertion methods especially in a country like India where even tampons have been very heavily stigmatised. So it may not be fair to directly compare internal and external menstrual collection methods. And in my experience this may not be perfect but it's still 10 times better than pads! This was my first brand but I've tried several brands since this one even.
Really far time away reply, but today I put them on cuz I'm like idk, this body seems off today, lo and behold, on my way home my body decides to give a surprise 😂
Hey Bharti even I was super frustrated with this sizing. It's just not done. If you still wanna try them, marks and Spencers had some on their website (just search for period panty) with good options on sizing. I haven't tried them yet but I might try some next because they have different levels of absorbency.
