Old man here from Burbank,ca,been watching for years, told you before your property and pond is my favorite, just BEAUTIFUL ,iam always impressed that you always do the extra on everything,I watch and think wow you should do this, and then of course you already thought of it,like cleaning the pond because all ponds always look muddy, and then a few videos later you install the Aeration, now the chemical ,I even sent a comment only a week ago about using a dye,and of course you say in this video you will be doing it soon cant wait,God bless you and your family,to me your able to live a great life❤❤❤
I’m not a pond expert and I haven’t used that product but on some of the ponds we managed we would mix up what ever we were treating the pond with in a water tank and spray it in the pond.
Hello Geoff, I watched todays video and thought about it for a bit. I think your throwing arm needs to be warmed up next time and I can help you with that. All it will take is some windex and paper towels and by the time your windshield is clean, you'll be good to go! No no don't thank me, your Like an old friend I haven't met yet. :) Cheers from Canada.
When we get algae & scum on our 2 acre fishing club pond, we throw in four bales of barley straw (whole & let them just float) & within a couple of weeks all the crud is gone.
I’d be adding some smaller gravel to get down to the trash rake over the overflow just to make it smoother. I’d be breaking an ankle by now 😂😂 Another cool video man!
Oh Man !! I was waiting for ya to smack ya knuckles on the hand hold on the sxs, any min. !! lololol... Glad ya didn't though.... lolol... That was a good move when you put the Rip-Rap on the dam like that, I think it made it look way better, plus knocked out a lot of weed eating !! lolol... Have a Great Evening Geoff !! Great Video as always...
Phoslock is the best product I have found to control algae. I have tried the product you are using , they make packets for winter and summer. Just throw the packet in, no need to tear apart.
Once the geese nest and raisev their young successfully they will return every year . We have had the same pair return for several years and they always put their nest in the exact same spot. It is better to throw it downwind Geoff ,ask me how i know ? That stuff had better work at fourteen bucks a pound ?
Mighty brave of you turning your back to the duck mafia, luckily you had a witness and you were facing away from the pond. Those little bags of pond chemicals look alot easier than having to pour it out of a fifty pound sack in the pond from a boat.
I was saying just throw them in but you did not here me... Yes we built ponds as well... it's all way a challenge keeping ponds clean... people think they are pools and expect them to be clear to the bottom.
Nice to see some Canadian Content in your video! What’s next? Eh? Pet Moose? Nova Scotian Lobsters? Maple sugar trees? A pet beaver!!!! Oxford Blue Berry patch! Digby Scallops!!! Maybe a lumberjack, we use axes instead of excavators !!!! Lol
Geoff, it is good that you son showed up to be the Driver in Driving Mr Geoff. I would throw a couple packages in the pond turtle pond next to the Duck Mafia digs.
So true. It's amazing how much mess they can make, including laying eggs IN the pond, where they will sink and rot on the bottom. Then you will wonder why your little pond smells so bad.
There ways to clear a pond without using chemicals not found in nature. We had duckweed on a pond and we were told to put in rotting barley straw. If nature makes it, nature can get rid of it. You just need to find an old lady who lives in the area, she will tell you what to do. It may sound crazy. Ok, so five minutes into the video you said the product contained barley. Doesn't sound so crazy now, but I would still look for the old lady. I bet those 5-gallon buckets cost a bit more than rotten hay.
Love your caring for your ponds. But was hoping for some concrete getting poured for the upper pool at least. Sorry for seeming so ungrateful. I know you're working your tail feathers off on a myriad of fronts simultaneously.
I kept expecting you to hit your knuckles on the window frame as you were tossing them bags of biological warfare out of the vehicle 'cause that is what I would have done to myself. 🙃
