What you said doesn't surprise me. What's the core idea of business? Difference between informations. Although local approved restaurants offer much better flavor for lower price, the first barrier between the business and the tourists is language which over 90% of the local business is neither capable nor aware to solve. Mark's restaurant is like McDonalds, what you see is overprice but what you don't acknowledge is the lower invisible cost for tourist to learn. Everything in his restaurant is standardanized and typical, we as foreigners are never confused what to choose.
