We're living in Sydney, I'm an Aussie and my wife's originally from Tainan and we head back there every year (since 1998). I went to Hualien for the first time this year and really loved it. We just stumbled on your channel and love to see how much you're enjoying Taiwan, keep the content coming.
Woo I’m so happy you love! It’s different and I love making both styles so having 2 different places for it works haha. Thank you for watching over here as well 🥹🥹🤍🤍
Wow, you are really kind to go out of your way to buy canned dogs to feed stray dogs. Please don't cry. Maybe next time I’ll buy a can and go find that disabled dog and give him a good meal. 👏🐈⬛❤️
We look forward to your return to Taiwan, a paradise for surfing and snorkeling with its magnificent plains, criss-crossing valleys and beautiful coast. Don’t miss the night market food and the friendly and hospitable Taiwanese people.😊
@@張颺 My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks in Chiayi with a Taiwanese friends so we get to see the night market and local shops. I travelled throughout Chiayi and Nantou county, even got to stay in Ren’ai township. I met local tribe ethnic group celebrating their culture and went to the night market.
The scallion pancake is literally called bomb scallion pancake (炸彈蔥油餅) in Mandarin because it explodes. 😂 BTW you can just poke a small hole on tne unopened side o the can in order to get food out of a can. 😂 Yes, it's that easy. 😅
Regarding paper cups for cold drinks in Taiwan, it is because single use plastic foodwares from tea stands/drink shops are now outlawed in many cities. Many coffee/tea places will give you $3~$5 TWD discount if you bring your own reusable cup or tumbler.
You can get a coffee with a decent price in every convenience store like 7 eleven and FamilyMart. If you bring your own cup, you get NT$5 off. The frige inside convenience stores have chilled coffee with enough caffeine, if you are up to new thngs.😊 The convenience store in TW is also a wonderland.
Hey Josie, if you need coffee all the time, maybe you can try the coffee or milk tea... in every 7-11 and family mart convenience store. Just ask the clerk that you want buy a coffee, than they will make it for you as a coffee shop doing. You can choose Americano or latte...hot or cold.、sugar or no sugar.、ice or no ice. That's the daily way Taiwan people do. Very convenient and cheap. People love it! Try as you can~Enjoy!❤
I guess I should have watched to the end....Whatever - I associate Hualien with the scallion omelette - usually the first thing we go for every time we are there.
Hi Josie, that's so sweet that you are feeding the dogs💓🐕 You just have to make a few holes in the bottom of the can with a can opener to get the dog food to come out easily.
Omg just when I thought I couldn't possibly love you guys more, you go and feed the stray dogs. I was bawling my eyes out watching how emotional you were over that poor 3 legged baby 😭😭😭 I love that you have such a kind heart, you seem to be a person who just radiates warmth, not to mention your beautiful, bright smile that no doubt lit up the whole of Taipei! I'm so glad the locals do feed the strays, I appreciate them taking the time to post those reassuring comments. I just got back from Taipei a couple of days ago and spewing I didn’t bump into you guys while I was there! In fact, I never bump into any fellow Aussies when I'm in Taiwan (Melbourne girl here), so I wonder what's with that? Hopefully your videos will inspire more Aussies to visit Taiwan. I look forward to more fantastic videos from you...especially those with dogs in them 🐕🦺😊🐶❤
Oh you are so kind!!!! Thank you SO much!! You are lovely! I seriously cried every time I saw him I felt so bad. I hope he's okay now and I'm not even in Taiwan anymore.. haha. You are so lovely thank you for your kind comment. So cool that you are also from Australia!! Hoping we can bump into each other :)
@@josievlogsthings that just shows how big your heart is if you're still worried about the doggy even after you've left. Thank you for highlighting the issue of strays in Taipei (also amazing that you've done it in a non-judgemental way), I hope it will inspire more people to feed them and that rescue organisations will also get more funding. Never underestimate the difference you've made just by being your lovely self ❤
