i have been doing the overlay method for about 2 months now and I am never going back to the og sealed cuticle method. Your nails grow out so flushed and there is NEVER lifting. I highly recommend. Also, love ur videos Brandi, I am a new subscriber.
Professional nail techs have been doing this method for a very long time. It does look more natural because if you blend the full cover tip to just below the cuticle it is a lot less bulk and that white part before the cuticle shows and it looks real. I watch every video and your talents are just getting better and better. Keep up the great work!

I’ve done it like this for years because I don’t like the way the cuticles look when too close. They just look so much like press-ons and I like the perfect flush.
Right? I noticed that with all the Korean girls. They don't butt the full cover tips right up to the cuticle. Then fill the space in with a liner brush.

I've been doing my nails like this for almost a year now, watched all the tips and tricks to make it so my nails would not pop up and nothing was working. They all wouldn't pop off but I always had 1 or 2 week 1 and at least 3to 4 week 2. The owner at the nail supply store I go to had me try a four-in-one nail gel (promised it would work) and I have not had one problem since (3 months now)! None of my nails pop up at all anymore! It's called Hang 4 in 1 gel. I wash my dishes by hand and do a lot of cleaning and almost half the time forget my gloves and still I never have a problem!

This is how i learned to do my gelx nails 3yrs ago before gelx became popular on TikTok. This is method allows my nails last so long and its so beginner friendly!

Thank you! Yes I have had that happen, I don’t really know all the reasons for why it may have happened but I think it could be because the quality of the polish isn’t that good, or maybe it needs to be cured longer, or needs a powerful nail lamp.
