Our family literally just got back home to Ohio from Universal Studios a few hours ago. We spent 5 days there and had a blast. Don't know if you have ever been to it, but our family had a good time at the Horror Make-Up Show. It was only 25 minutes long and was a good way to rest our feet and get some good laughs.
The Horror Make-Up show is a hoot! We have seen it multiple times and just love the audience interaction! We hope you guys had an amazing time in the parks!
I feel like animal actors/ horror make up are the only shows that harken back to OG universal (learning about the movies) with audience interaction. sorta similar in vein to the Alfred Hitchcock show, murder she wrote post production show, etc
The shame with carnival games is that they make the balls heavier or lighter than normal so the ball doesn't throw the way you are used to. They also make the basketball hoops slightly smaller. And, and, and... All in all, they cheat the customers who are paying big $$$ to prevent them from getting a price that costs around a dollar. Good job keeping a smile on your face. 😁
I should just close my eyes or look down the whole time to be honest. We love that area and really wish that we could ride it all the time.. but its so bad with motion sickness!
Try and go to Universal Studios Hollywood in California and catch the Animal actors show there - its ran by the same the same company that dose the Florida on the All of the Animals and trainers in both shows are from a company called Birds and Animal Unlimited
We played the Simpsons games with our kids the last time and ended up with so many stuffed animals we did leave one….. or two in a kids play area when they weren’t looking lol. I hope some other kid got to take it home
Animal Actors is one of our favorite things in the park, we do it on just about every trip into Studios. The shows in general are half the park to us, both the indoor and outdoor shows. The rides are something we do between shows. :D We would love to see more shows in Islands--they need to get something going in those two stage areas that are closed--the one between Marvel Island and Toon Lagoon, and the old Sinbad Theater.
I get a prescribed anti dizziness/vertigo also helps with nausea med before traveling that may be an option for Tyler. It’s like a stronger Dramamine..
I ADORE the Animal Actor's Show. My sisters and I went to Universal for five days in 2019 and went to the show every single day as a fun afternoon break.
It’s so nice to sit for a little bit! Also, we’re curious! Did the show change at all day to day? We would imagine they have like a rotation of animals they go through.
Tyler feel for bro I hate Simpson ride give me motion sickness to only ride in the park that makes me feel really crappie pal so I'm with you all day long pal Anna your nasty for making him ride Simpsons ride pal use are the best
Animal Actors in Universal Hollywood was one of the first attractions to keep people happy while they waited to get on the Tram tour in late 60s early 70s. It made sense to have shows that leveraged the talented people and animals that Universal Studios already had.
@@ThePughTwo and I saw that video too LOL talk about missing out. oh man but it's ok. The family and I have been watching your videos to prepare for our first-ever universal trip. THank you so much for all the information and "the beard tip" and looking forward for tomorrow's video! stay safe you!!
Of course you'll do a video like this in IoA! Can't play favorites! Congrats on finally seeing the Animal Actors. You never know when a critter will go off-script, so the show changes each time.
This is true haha! Yeah we will definitely go back to it from time to time. We were there not terribly long ago when one of the dogs was running around freely up around Minions!
Love that you guys are wearing your robes…..I live in my Gryffindor robes the entire time I’m at the parks. So cute to see a ravenclaw and hufflepuff together.
I'm sad that Tyler can't enjoy The Simpson! It's one of my favorite rides! Something that we usually skip are the water rides in Toon Lagoon. But whenever we are entertaining guests in the parks (especially first-timers), we usually let them decide about those two rides. If you come prepared, those rides are spectacular! But if you don't bring dry shoes and socks (stowed in a locker), I find it miserable to continue in the parks with wet, squishy feet. We've never seen the "Animal Actors" show, except on RU-vid. So upon your recommendation, we shall see it next time! In December, we missed seeing Borne Stuntacular for the first time. I could kick myself, it just slipped our minds!
Its ok, Im lucky enough to be able to enjoy everything else so I feel fortunate! We love the area and the theming, just can't handle the ride. Absolutely! Just bring a change of clothes and some fresh socks and you're set! We can't wait to hear what you think about it. We are animal lovers so we couldn't help but ooo and ahhh the entire show.. just wish we could pet them haha! We highly recommend the Bourne Stuntacular as well, awesome technology they are using there!
Can at some point y’all do a video in how to and when to plan for a trip for Horror Nights? Like when do I look to book a hotel. When is best to book it with an annual pass. Stuff to that extent. I’m really wanting to go for the 2022 horror nights with my new brother in law.
Hey Zach! So we touch on this throughout our videos, but go ahead and book your rooms now! The earlier you book, the cheaper the rates tend to be and you just have to put a deposit down right now. Then, you can watch the passholder rates to see if the prices drop. Also, as tickets for HHN get released, you can snag those too. Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any questions!
You rarely catch shows? OMG, you NEED to do Bourne Stuntacular! We did shows on our lazy day and were blown away by how amazing Bourne is. The practical special effects in that show are insane!
@@ThePughTwo I ate one in July and was planning on doing Hulk and Velocicoaster after lunch... Didn't happen. Kinda shut me down for like 2 hours. Felt like I ate a cinder block. ...good Park ti I guess.. Don't eat SOOO MUCH FOOD that you can't do coasters or walk several miles in serious heat.
Great video. Currently in the parks now also doing things we never tried. Hogwarts light show, finally had a butterbeer, and also animal actors. Raptor encounter tomorrow hopefully
I can get motion sickness on the Forbidden Journey. They have air that blows on your face to reduce/stop you from getting motion sickness. I'm taller than most and so the air that blows is not in the right spot, so I have to shrink down a little and keep my head back to help.
We have never done animal actors either... thought about it several times, but like you it just never fit into the agenda. I've never done tperanodon flyers either... don't have any kids lol
You guys are great! So glad I found this channel! My wife and I are universal junkies (annual preferred passholders) and love to come down as much as we can and can always learn something new and fun from you! Thank you!!
I have a picture SOMEWHERE of me with my prizes from the Simpson's area games, when I find it, I will send it over! I think y'all should definitely do an Islands one of this video!! Also, this next trip, because we don't have kids with us, I will 100 percent be skipping that damn Simpson's ride! I am with you Tyler, vomit city right there! It gives me a bit of a headache as well! Have a happy day! Oh, FUINA was watching this last night, and I go, Is that Anna's voice I hear?! hahaha
Just wanted to thank you guys we went to universal last year watched your videos and thanks for the tips and explaining the refillable cups and how they express pass works hope your channel continues to grow thank you
You are so welcome! Our one wish is to share our love of the parks and help others have a good time while they are there! Thank you for taking the time to come back and comment this. Comments like this really make our days better and we can’t tell you how much they mean to us!
I just got back from a Mon. - Friday trip (Feb). The mid-week crowds were soooo low. I, literally - no joke, did EVERY ride and EVERY show / parade (except the Cinematic Celebration which I didn't know only happened on Monday) It was so much fun! I can't wait to go back!!
We typically skip all the carnival games, the 2 water rides that get you completely soaked at IOA, and Poseidon’s Fury. We haven’t done the Horror Make-Up Show since we have our young daughter with us, but always make time for the Bourne Stunt Show that she does enjoy. Would love to see what you typically skip at IOA. 😁
We’ve never played the games and never will. We do talk about them lots….”how on earth do enough ppl play these games to make it worth them staffing them?!” It’s a mystery really 🤔
Thank you for the ! at the end of my name, y’all so sweet. Have y’all done any of the other shows?? Just seeing if that is something we should make time during our 4 days at the park.
We had to do at least something to make up for accidentally leaving you off so you get EMPHASIS! 😂. We have done many of the shows and there are several of note. Horror Makeup show is a ton of fun and the Bourne Stuntacular is amazing. If you are a Potter fan, all of the shows they do in Diagon Alley are a MUST!
We love our wands and robes from the Wizarding World... least favorite is hard because we never buy anything we don't want. We would say we have some shirts that we don't much care for anymore!
That is actually brilliant.. like.. we aren’t smart enough to have seen that! Haha it was just the fact that all of those things were in one area of the park!
Hey Guys, Hows Velocicoster compared with Hulk on motion sickness? is it much better or just a little better? the reason I asked is that I did Hulk one-year, my first ride of the park in the morning, and had to go back to the Hotel because it really mess me up
Fun video! Love you guys! Hey do you guys get photo pass? I saw they only have 1- day or 3-day option from their app. We will be there for 5 days. I want to say I bought one that's good for the entire year a couple of years ago when we went. Is that option still available? Maybe only available at the park?
Thank you so much! We haven't ever gotten one but we have been considering it for some time! So as far as we know, they still offer the yearly one and its not that much more expensive than the 3 day, but you do have to get that in the parks! Hope this helps.
@@ThePughTwo Thank you so much for the info. Phew, I will just wait to get the pass when we get to the park then. In the meantime, I will be watching all your videos!
