Redstone in Minecraft is pretty hard, but it was far harder in the early days! SO MANY BUGS!! Filming channel: / thatmumbojumbo2 Instagram: / officialmumbo Twitter: / thatmumbojumbo
(but actually, I never fought a mob with an arrow because I was playing in peaceful... But I still had an arrow laying in my hotbar just in case a chicken started attacking me I guees x) )
@DK2342 yeah and it was not really good because you couldn’t save anything and I really wanted to play the full ver becouse lite had almost absolutely *N O T H I N G*
mumbo: i dont wanna try bedrock edition because the redstone is strange also mumbo: lets play a version of minecraft where barely any redstone works and is totally broken
Especially considering the fact that you’re unable to compensate for the 7gt pulse the hopper/dropper falling edge monostable has (as they were added in Minecraft 1.5), so he had to use an 8gt pulse and completely rewire the left side
"I wish I had a time machine so I could flex on the original minecrafters." Imagine having a time machine so you could show the originals minecrafters your walking house with RTX.
*3x3 Also at the time 3x3s of that size did exist. Mumbo’s original fast 3x3 from about 2013 actually worked in this version, he made some alterations in 2014 because of 1.5.
how do all of you know the exact version of minecraft you started playing on i mean i started somewhere around release on some kind of hacked version from a friend no clue what that was lol
Mumbo thank you for this! I was a Redstoner back then and this brings back so many memories... like my 1 tick pulse, long range, transmitter/receiver. That thing was a blast to make. I'm always down to work on some redstone or reminisce if you're interested.
I am eleven years old and do not feel old but I remember that I started playing Minecraft when it was in it’s early states. I even played Minecraft PE Lite! I remember when you begon with a sapling, bricks, tortch, seeds and stone bricks in your hotbar. The good old days...
i wanna cry becuase i’ll never be able to go back to experience the launch of minecraft or the late school nights playing survival with the boys thank you minecraft for the chlildhood you have givin me
Mumbo travels back in time and shows old Mumbo awesome piston doors. Old Mumbo flexes with excellent piston doors. The genius redstoners of that day are amazed and ask what else Mumbo can do. Old Mumbo, ". . . colour combination locks?"
I started playing back in 1.2.5. Summer 2012. Ahh so many memories. Faction servers, old school minigames, clan battles that spawned real life relationships and death threats. Ah the good old days...
Wait you mean the glorious efficiency 6 pickaxe.the pickaxe surrounded by legends and stories. The pickaxe that only the wisest and oldest of mc remember. ~The pickaxe, made to destroy worlds.~
This brought back some memories. I first played Minecraft before survival was a thing. When it was added I made a tiny house inside a little stone spike in a mountain biome. I got lost and was so upset I quit it until I heard cats were added. I remember that creative inventory and being so jealous of people who had that one mod that added a search bar.
As someone making a CTM map in Beta 1.8, I can confirm that the game is kind of wacky...like Endermen picking up whatever they want while making zombie noises.
I played on pe when the nether reacter core thingy was a thing... And no sprint.. Hunger. And literally no blocks or tools. Oh and I also played minecraft lite before that
@@xyzzy-dv6te if you have an Android phone just go hunt for the APK and install it (or use an Android emulator like nox or bluestacks on a computer). If you have an i-phone/pad (or heaven forbid a Windows phone) and also lack a computer then I'm sure there's still a way, but I wouldn't know how you'd go about it.
I got *way* to excited watching the double piston extender of the modern 3x3 piston door working here. I totally get your want for a timemachine here, haha ^_^
My first version of Minecraft was classic, even though that was around the time beta 1.2 came out. Memories of flooding worlds with the infinitely-spreading water, making underwater homes with sponges, the two-toned texture of gold blocks which really needs to be brought back, and getting stuck in the lava at the bottom of the world since you couldn’t place blocks there ti get back out... Good times.
My first Redstone was the fake Redstone from mcpe with signs and cactus, making timers and showers and mob arenas (later on) then they added Redstone at such a fast pace with all new stuff I had trouble keeping up until I found mumbo and I actually figured it all out, cause sethbling was good but he wasn’t the best at explaining why things work the way they do.
Started playing a couple months before the Nether was introduced. Redstone was redstone and redstone torches. Minecart boosters from glitchy collision mechanics were the coolest thing around.
I started doing redstone on 0.17.0 beta for MCPE. Yeah. I even made a very bulky elevator that went up four blocks and had a door. I was really proud of that thing!
You're probably the only RU-vidr I actually search up to check for new uploads... Your videos are a pleasure to watch and my face lights up when I see new uploads, thank you!
Imagine building a extremely time consuming redstone project in 1.8.1. Having it not work, and just be like “oh wait... I built it in the wrong direction”
I remember a time before redstone repeaters were a thing. And old ways of extending redstone pulses beyond 14 blocks involved setting down redstone torches to power and unpower themselves to extend it.
I feel like this video is useful for understanding what exactly is new when it comes to redstone (and Minecraft in general, like upside down slabs). I haven't really played since the beta.
The first time I played Minecraft was with my dad in 2010 and I didn’t even know what I was doing and was scared of all the feather dropping zombies and stuff. I was 5 by the way. And then I later started playing again in like 2012 is and that’s when I started redstone and thought I was good at it just because I made a flush 2x2 piston door lol. Like I remember when footstep particles were little dents in the ground that followed the player. But ever since then I’ve been doing both java and bedrock redstone seeing what is and isn’t possible in bedrock, making piston bolts and even a “0 tick” sugar can farm in bedrock. (Sorry for the long comment lol)
Started playing at the end of 2011 right after 1.0 came out. Got into redstone with 1.1 when I saw Monkey Farm build a piston elevator. Stopped playing a few years ago and just got back into it going hard on the redstone and survival mode to automate everything.
