Dust will collect even if there is no work - just ask those who clean homes :) Barney does a great job - and scratches kept to a minimum. These trails will be so nice to walk through when complete.
Looking out your window and seeing all those trees in front of me. Reminds me of when we were younger. We would try to run through the woods like deer. Sometimes it was a blast other times it was painful.
You need to get one of those auto detail dusting mop, farmers love them for dusting their windows on combines and tractors, just do the dusting before dew gets things wet, much quicker and easier than windex and towels
Chris, always have liked and enjoyed your commentary while doing jobs. The trails are looking good. Happy that you did not get stuck taking all that brush out.
You do a great job on anything you do. And I understand your train of thought on what you need for each job you have to use what you have handy at the moment . Continue doing good work
Smart and committed business people become successful after learning that fixing mistakes or foulups of their own doing costs them dearly. Your years of experience pays you daily. Happy you take us along Chris. Let the Sun shine in.
As you start the days video, I start watching with a 👍 before watching as always. Have faith in the truck, she's NOT getting stuck in 6x6. one time back in the 90s I had a CAT 6x6 truck like that, never got stuck even fully loaded with rock, they go nearly anywhere lol
Out here in the West our poplar trees are mostly Lombardy Poplars which grow mostly straight up and get nearly as tall as the conifers. Plus they can be 5 to 6 feet across (or more) at the butt.
Are they useful for lumber? In Ontario poplar is used for trim and mouldings. They call it “whitewood”. Superior to pine for painting as it doesn’t have the sap pockets.
@@tomrogers9467 Not that I'm aware of? The Lombardy Poplars out here branch out while growing but the branches stay close to the core of the tree and grow close in vertically together. There is no real main trunk to our poplars. But the stump can be fat.
Whomever it is that feels the need to suggest to you what equipment you need on a job Chris, is obviously unaware that ALL of your projects & equipment logistics planning is so very well thought out weeks in advance! 👍
Funny thing about logic Chris when you are self-employed. It only has to make sense to you. We are only viewers in a brief moment in time for entertainment.
A great Work for short Time, all the Root out Material out from the Wood to Drive, a pair Trees new to root out that the Trail Way the Perfect breadth have. And then with the Dozer to clear and Plane the Trail Way. You make this all in the Perfect Turn. And the Result however first Class. The Video very Interesting. Thanks. Gladden my of the next Videos from this Work 💪👌👍
Those trails are looking really nice. They should have fun 4 wheeling in there. They have a lovely property due to you. Love your work, Chris. You are a joy to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Now that was funny Chris. Rain Guard! Thanks for the explanation of why you weren't hauling the dirt away from the pool dig. Hope you finish before the rains set it.. Have a great week.
It looks like there's gonna be some backfilling on the pool so that's smart. you could haul it later if need be. my favorite channel. I like the way you do your videos, Rock on.
I see your logic and the people that don't see your logic aren't as successful as you are. The reason you are successful is because you see the logic and everything. Very smart, very clear headed. You make smart decisions when it comes to business a critical thinker of Sorts and that's a compliment sir
Lmao !! I knew you would end up driving Barney on back in there !! lolol... I was sitting here thinking , if he gets back in there ok with the 220, he's going back there with the Dump !! lololol... Can't be wasting all that time hauling all that brush way back up the trail !! lolol...Sometimes ya just got to get a little sketchy, and go for it !! And don't ya just love some of those questions you get asked, lololol... Man, just wanna say, "Here's ya Sign" !! lololol... Oh Man, Good stuff !! But, Great as always Chris !! Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !! I'm off to watch the supercross race, they are in Daytona this week, should be a good one !! Have a Great Night Man...
SEAMS LIKE THIS JOB STARTED OUT AS A SMALL PROJECT AND HAS TURNED INTO A MAJOR CLEAN UP JOB!!! ...CHRIS YOU ARE THE MAN FOR THE BIG AND SMALL JOBS 🙌 🙏 😅..
The explanation of why you didn't move machines around made total sense, ultimately to move them costs you time or money for Donnie to do it cuts into your profit.
Love your content ….heres a piece of feedback (one man’s opinion): I felt deprived of my “happy ending” when you decided to finish the clean up of the trail and food plot off camera. If you are concerned with the video being too long, then you can time lapse it. 😎 One of the most satisfying aspect of watching you do clearing, and removal is …after you are done (but before you leave to something else) is how you dress out the work area. Converting all that rutted out mess while pushing out the giblets into a low area is the 💣. I know it takes effort to set up the camera and edit….and I thank you for all of your efforts in bringing that to us (those who project manage vicariously in our retirement).
I still don't get someone questioning the way you do things. You been doing alright for yourself for a few weeks now! Lol. I might have a question from time to time, but I'm okay with your solutions.
Chris, I often wonder when you are doing jobs like this, why don't you get a fold up electric bike to move between the machines. I'm sure you could find a way to hang one on each machine, ( one bike multiple mounts.) Then when you drive the excavator to the other end of a job you have a bike to get barney and can bring both back, then you could use the bike to get back to the truck for your microwaved lunches etc.. would save alot of leg work that I know you do... Love your vids Chris. Cheers from Aus
I’m thinking the ash pile from this burn pile is going to be as big as some burn piles before the burn, just sayin. Nice job handling the haul truck, always like the slicken Em jobs you do, one of those looks finished because I care processes. Thanks for the update, enjoyed and appreciated the video.
Those that have never worked in a trade, like yours or carpentry like mine and those of the other trades, can’t understand the logic and order of things that need doing no matter how you explain it. In building a house you can’t put the roof on before you’ve got the foundation poured. Watching your videos has broadened my understand of you trade and how the different machinery works.
I don't read too many youtube comments but it cracks me up what some youtubers say about comments, imagine sitting at a computer with no knowledge of what jobs you're doing and telling someone they should move a machine, as if it costs nothing to move a machine. I remember when you were doing a job years ago and everyone said you need a bigger dozer because it took a day or two with the little Komatsu, yet you would have needed the little Komatsu there to do the finish work even if you had a bigger dozer.
I would say your not wanting to get the truck stuck shows a lack of adventure, but having watched most of your videos I think is it discretion being the better part of valor.
I get the whole don't move it unless absolutely needed. I'm pretty sure as much as Mr. Donny likes you Chris and does what he can to help, he may also like being able to sit at the house and not be concerned about traffic and whatnot a lot. Though it's jobs likes these that are hinting towards maybe another excavator is in the future, perhaps another 220 or 210 size machine with a thumb to play the equipment shuffle with.
It would be nice to have a full set of equiptment on every different job. That would be a fast trip to being bankrupt and seeing your stuff at the next Richie Bro. auction.
You've got a big enough wood pile to have a community smores and wiener roast. Bealy ought to be happy with everything that you have accomplished. Have a great day. God Bless.
My Komatsu HM 400 Offroad truck weight over 165,000lbs. it will sink about 6" in the ground empty THEN the idiot in the trackhoe will watch the load lights on top of the cab an try max it out at 45 tons !!😁 We are buildin a new highway thru the swamp here in Mississippi.. So far I haven't got stuck But the other guy did. It ain't NO joke tryin to get one of them Monsters out !!🤣
Question- given that your preference is to burn rather than mulch is there any reason that all that couldn’t be mulched and spread out in the woods because of fire etc.?
A mulcher of the scale needed starts somewhere north of $1.6MILLION and is not easily transported within the job site. Mulching the material into the woods merely increases the dangerous fire load - it can also spread disease and fungus into a commodity plot and destroy the tree crop.
