Trying to fix an original faulty bop it (Part 2) 

I found the problem. I just wasnt able to fix the original though due to that chip. I did use it for the shell though. Thank you for your comment 😊

@@retrostashrepairs Your welcome! I have a rare version of the Extreme that was released in the UK, it's slightly higher pitched and they fixed a bug in one of the speeds where it skips a beat on the pull it that it does between 60-80 points on the regular version!

@@ericmowery3985 Yeah and when you put low batteries in them the 96 one gets lower in pitch I likei it when it's down 4 semi-tones lower from it's original pitch. I also have a game called Brain Shift which you control a 'stick shift' to do the commands. It does different coloured voices and he likes to say "Orange!" in a low pitched voice the only problem si that you get to around 14 shifts and it cheats you! i got one brand new from a charity shop from eBay he was lower pitched than this! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kiX3jxk9xzM.html

Hello, any updates on the broken bop it? Also how are you going to be selling it so I know what to look for?

Oh yeah, I mentioned I was going to mix the outer parts from the first one. And I used the new board but replaced the tactile switch for the pull it. And just used the yellow twist it from the first one as well.

@@retrostashrepairs I'm actually using this video to help my dad with repairing the twist it on my 96 original. I have 2 originals and the twist was not working very well on my older one. Fun fact, You could've cleaned that pull it switch with some rubbing alcohol and it probably still would've worked. I'm probably going to do some alcohol treatment for the twist switch. It took a bit of trial and error to figure out the tactile switch was the problem but now that I know the problem I should be able to fix and reassemble it.

@@norwegian52 I actually did try cleaning it first with some rubbing alcohol. It still didnt work though, so I ended up replacing it ")

@@retrostashrepairs what alcohol did you use? at least 95% is ideal, but if you're doing repairs, you probably already have that. I'm really hoping I don't have to replace the twist it tactile switch on mine, I would love to test it out independently now but I havnt figured out the location of the bop it switch, Wich I need to be able to start the game and try out the twist

Lol thats pretty funny. And sounds like a speaker problem, if not then it would be the cpu chip. Bit pretty sure its the speaker.
