Some plants can be propagated by the leaves this may be legit Sometimes things may root but never grow like what can happen with succulent leaves Not buying wha looks like paint that was put on this should of rooted without anything special
Yellow tips on these plants usually mean too much water, but it could also be too much direct sun! It's hard to tell without knowing more about the plant's environment😊
Make sure it is in a small pot, they like having a lot of moisture in less space. Run a humidifier in the vicinity if you livenin a dry place or if you keep the air conditioning on.
I concur with the previous comment about smaller pot however beware of over watering that could be a problem too..also sometimes the leaves will fall off indicating it went dormant, during this time treat it the same and when it comes back it will be like new
Then why cut the entire stem if you are going to throw it away? and what are you using to glue it to the sand? Do you have a pot full of leaves with no stalk or corm?
Weird how the leaf you cut was different to the one you planted and the leaf you first planted was in a slightly different position when you went back to it......I smell porkie pies...lol
Nonsense, I assume lol. As far as I know, these prop from bulb (corm). Even if this roots, I doubt you're getting new growth... Way easier to just check the soil occasionally for new corms.
@@fioregiallo Yeah, I wasn't really going for specific so much as that they do not grow from leaf cuttings like this lol, so this is all nonsense. Keiki is great though, for those looking for a good root/growth hormone 🙂
I don't think it's fake, keiki paste works well for this. But I doubt the plant will grow anything else. It will just keep the leaf alive. Like those $1 Hoya kerii leaves that are sold around valentine's and mother's day.
we need the name....the name of the liquid...ahhhh...and what is that you have in the bowl? sand? how many times did you mist it...ahhhh...lol this is my most favorite plant. please help me prop her
The only way you can propagate alocasia is through corms in the soil. They’re little bulbs that you can separate. Look up “alocasia corm propagation” videos. This video is fake and only trying to sell a bs product.
