My dachshund was the same way with his ramp. But after he went up and down with me a few times he got the hang of it. It's amazing how quickly an older dog wants to learn for the person they love.

Sherpa, you and Jax are twin brothers from another mother. We bought Jax a set of steps because he was having trouble jumping up on the bed. The first thing he did was jump over the steps and up onto the bed. We tried to train him with treats but he jumps over it when there are no treats involved. That was nice of Jamie to build you a red carpet ramp. 🐺💕

I have a 15 year old rescue who now has rickety knees. So I need a ramp for him too. I have a van. I need one that folds up. I try and take him for rides when it's cool because it gets very hot in TX . Yesterday it was humid and nearly 90 degrees F. Today it's 58. He wouldn't get in the van today. Sherpa did what I'm sure my dog will do. I hope he learns as quickly. Stay safe.

That made me laugh and bought back memories. My elderly Staffie could not cope with the stairs in my house so I moved to a bungalow. After much stress and expense on the day of the move my friend looked after him to keep him calm but later reported that he was tearing up and down the stairs in her house🙂. After he sadly passed I had a rescued American Bulldog who was too big for my bungalow, especially when he was neutered and had to wear the cone of shame, but unfortunately I couldn't afford to move again🙂. Glad Sherpa has a set up that suits him perfectly.
