After discovering the source of a major leak, I suggest a short term patch
UPDATE as of 01/05/21:
I applied a generous portion of adhesive to the rear in the boot that was allowing the fluid to leak out. This approach resulted in stopping the leak for about a month under light commuting to and from work.
It bought me some much needed time is all.

The rack seal is bad that's way fluid is in boot. Boot only stops dirt from damaging seal. New rack time.

Put a new rack in and its still doing this on the driver side

@maximusfuscus well I had bad ball joints so I think it was causing the seal to go

Is it possible just to replace boot when seal is leaking? Logic says that, seal would continue leaking until it fills the boot and then it has nowhere else to go, so it will stop leaking. I'm talking about keeping the car maybe 2 more years without replacing the rack. Can it survive for 2 years with boot full of oil? I don't think it should be a problem. It's true, grease should go inside, but I don't see problem with fluid, it has similar properties.

So my question is “if I find my rack and pinion boot leaking like this, it means I need to replace the rack and pinion or just the boot?

The short answer is yes. The fluid is highly corrosive , so you will want to stop the leak any way you can, and replace the unit.

Rebuild the rack I did it my self and it wasn't that bad and only cost 30 bucks for new seals Edit it broke again

That looks more like power steering fluid would that not be a rack replacement?

I have a problem with my trailblazer 2007 i put a new boot but after couple minutes all the fluid comes out i tacke everything out put it back and still have the same problem ..i dont know what to do man...I need a new rack and pinion or is something shiper the i can do..thanks..God bless
