Trying to Survive The Hunt | BeamNG Multiplayer

Today we're trying to blend into AI traffic. Inspired by Failrace, once we're found, a chase ensues... but everyone only gets 1 life! Which is terrifying in BeamNG... Famously a crash simulator before a racing game. Sooo let's see how far we make it. This is part 1, there was more footage from this session that'll be coming later!
If you're watching this, I'm relatively sure you'll be familiar with Failrace on RU-vid. If so you'll be able to tell that the name and concept are from Failrace and the Survive the Hunt that he does in GTA V!

usually beam AI just slams the brakes as soon as you even get near them, and if you bump them they will never start moving again until they respawn

Go into your options -> multiplayer -> advanced -> In the experimentals you will see "Enable Positional execution smoother". try that, should help mitigating some of the desync

I hope the beamng devs can make multiplayer better and implement fun games modes like, hide and seek, tag, manhunt, city camouflage(this is basically city camouflage not manhunt, man hunt would be like what car mighty does, city camouflage would be like what failrace does) maybe even derby, lots of game modes to be had for sure

@@aspen2331 it was a type of race I use to play back in the Project Gotham racing days. Each team consisted of a cat and mouse (a koenigsegg as the cat and a Mini Cooper as the mouse for example). The only car that could win the race was the mouse, and the cats job was to help push your mouse to make it faster around the race track, and also protect your mouse from the other teams cats, and to go after the other teams mouse if theirs was in the lead. With BeamNGs crash physics, it would make things pretty interesting.

I’ve noticed that if you minor wreck an AI vehicle they stop and throw their hazards on. Might be helpful next time and assuming they believe you and leave the area then you could evade.

tbh, i think that car spawning is huge advantage for seekers. I'd add car spwaning around every player, so it's both more even and realistic.

Same as in singleplayer, the radial menu! Just take into account that the maximum vehicle limit in the gameplay settings includes cars from other players. Also turn off 'allow switching to AI vehicles', it breaks the syncing

@@cyberplonk I haven't done it myself but I think how it works is that the AI cars on your screen will appear to be all your cars on their screens. The AI is controlled by your computer, but to other people it just looks like you're controlling all of them at once

Beamng really doesn't seem like the best game for this. AI only spawns near you (so they'll always know your location for the most part), there's not enough traffic, and the traffic is pretty predictable and also have license plates that is basically a spoiler lol.
