Trying Traditional Animation For The First Time

Hi!
I had a bunch of little animations I did on the side at work, so I decided to try something new and make a little video about them and some of the process. I've been wanting to do something different and low stress for a while now.
this whole experience has been really good for me, It helped me work through some burn out, and was overall a super refreshing way to look at animation. I'd really like to work with it more in the future. but alas, that means I'd need to get the right hole punch, a light box, some little pegs and whatnot, and an unimaginable amount of paper. so probably not any time soon.
anyways, massive shout out to the professor I was working with. You're the best.

The jumping on the loop in the first one gives me the impression she’s looking at you, then shyly looking away. It’s really cool to look into your process like this! :)

Hey love!!!! These are so cool it astounds me what life can be given to paper and pencil, your art style lends itself so well to this animation it feels very fitting and smooth, also seeing that giant stack of papers really shows how much these animations take, you’ve grown as an artist so much I love everything you’ve done and I can’t wait to see what’s to come 🧡🧡🧡

this is so freaking cool! as someone who is not an artist in the slightest, i really love seeing behind the scenes of people's artwork, cuz it gives me a good sense of where they came from! it's awesome!

Beautiful work - there must be something both exciting and intimidating about not being able to fully check your work until it's finished (as in, seeing it all put together). Or maybe it's freeing? Either way, you're inspiring me to want to try animating a little something or other again. ^^

Yeah!!! I was really worried about that part, but it actually wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. I could only flip between 2 or 3 frames to check at a time, which was a bit annoying at times, but once I got used to it, it wasn’t actually that hard to check stuff over. I will say, drawing with a pencil is easier than my current tablet situation, so maybe that also had something to do with it. Win!!! You should!
