Love your adventure in Turkey the landscape shots are memorable the food looks good and that beer looks good too. Eric looks like he's all done in :-) :-) can't wait till you visit IRELAND really looking forward to that blog if you get a chance you have to do the wild Atlantic way . Scenery fantastic I visit often family roots in the west coast. A chill island and kerry where ryans daughter was made in 1969.
I spent three weeks in Turkey in 2007. The food was always amazing. And, the people were most hospitable. We were there end of April into May. Istanbul becomes a sea of tulips 💐. The Dutch brought them from Turkey. One of my most memorable trips. So glad you made it there.
As an expat Brit who has lived in Turkey for ten years I say always go to a hole in the wall restaurant or café wherever you are, even in places like Istanbul. The food is often cooked by the mother or even grandmother who has been doing it for years. Stay off the tourist routes if you want to eat well!
Thank you so much for your amazing videos! I used to travel quite a lot myself, but due to health issues I am currently unable to travel. Some months ago, I found and immediately subscribed to your channel, so that I can at least video-travel the world through your eyes. (And add to my bucket list, where I want to go once I can travel again ;) Your positivity in every video (even if something goes wrong for you) really helps me a lot to get through rough times. Have a wonderful Christmas time! Greetings from Germany!
There is a lot of cats in streets, i grow up with cats and dogs, even i didn't have a personal pet, they're so beautiful and friendly, i know cats and dogs since I was born
Don't know what it is about Turkey & stray animals, but they really allow them to be! There is an amazing movie (Kedi) about the cats of Istanbul 😁 the poncho looks very nice on you & sets off your hair + it can prolly be used as a blanket as well!!
Tim Smith !! Hahahah very funny But please Horses do not hear this!! Because they feel sorry and jealous. The meaning of Cappadocia; Land of beautiful Horses.
Jemaine Pearson !! A place with 3000 years of history (Maybe More). Since the Hittites, many civilizations have settled here. The first Christians were hiding around here. Because the Romans were making great pressure. The settlement in the region continued until today. The meaning of Cappadocia; Land of beautiful Horses.
Yes! I love the Cappadocia series. Too bad you didn't get in the Open Air Museum. It is amazing. Also, the local dining and folk dance performances are great. FYI... in Turkish... a cat is a kedisi. There is a whole Facebook page called Istanbul Kedisi dedicated to pictures of the cats of Istanbul. If you enjoy cat photos, you will enjoy it. I think Turkey is my favorite country to visit. I also can't say enough about how kind and friendly the people of Turkey are. Thanks for all your wonderful videos!!
PS... The Cappadocia area goes back at least as far as the Hittites, 6,000 years ago. Alexander the Great brought his armies through the area at one time. St. Paul and St. Peter lived in some of the fairies "huts" before they traveled to Rome... so some of those churches go back almost 2,000 years. It is in the origin of civilization.
The desert you eat is halva made from semoline the peanut like taste comes from liquidy thing on top wich is tahini and grape molases(pekmez). Its really famous dessert eaten with goat milk ice cream most of the time
I've been binge watching your guy's videos and it's so funny, I ended up having this crazy dream that i traveled to San Francisco, Mexico, Texas and was also on a cruise ship Lol! Can you guess what videos i was watching before bed last night? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm really enjoying the vlog! You guys are awesome to watch❤
I love the poncho especially the color. Another amazingly beautiful video! I'm so grateful because I'll never make it there but it's amazing. Plus, Eric is a square. 🌝l
Bummer the museum was closed, but looks like you got the better end of the deal with the free hike! Those structures are so unique. I bet it is breathtaking with the balloons in the air 😍
I do like the look of Cappadocia. My only experience of Turkey was during the Gulf war (the early 90's one) so need to return for a proper look. Great video, looking forward to more!
@@lokumftw2621 No I am Turk who lives in Australia. Turkey is the nicest country and its people are nice but ye the government is dumpster trash. Human rights are comparable to a worn torn African nation all in the name of nationalism and country. I disagree with many of the current gov policies.
wooow this Börek.... In Germany i become only, Cheese with Spinach / Meet with Onions . These Combination looks so much better, damn why we dont have it here^^ Okay i mean Kebap to Kebap is really different here, maybe thats "my" problem. I dont know, So Yummy *:*
Nice Video and hope you come back at the Summer times when its perfect to travel at the West Coast to South Coast ;) .. Actually in Istanbul they filmed for the New Cinema Film " Charlies Angels " ..maybe you can see the Stars :))) in Eminönü and Grand Bazaar ??
Cappadocia looks like a photographers dream. So many great shots to be had. When were you there? Guess late or mid September? Ireland in December, remember your thermals your gonna need them. Love the channel.
Cool video. The clay pot thing looked delicious, it looked cool when they opened it. I wonder how they deal it,do they put clay on the pot every time to seal it? 🙂
I guessed that the sauce on your dessert was tahini, and I was right. Tahini is a liquid-ey paste made of sesame seeds. It is an essential ingredient in humus. I'd really like to congratulate you guys (a-hem, Eric) for not calling chunks of food "wads" anymore. A billion _thank yous_ for that. Now, work on not calling foods and sauces "oily." It's a very unappetizing word. The word food critics use for the good kind of fatty/oily foods is _unctuous._ It still means fatty/oily, it just sounds more appetizing.
you guys have to do Northern Ireland! even for The Titanic and Belfast is a great city in general, my only video is from the Christmas Market that is on now 🤓
For Istambul go early (8am to be there otherwise will be crouded and long lines.) Sofia, blue mosque, cistern church, Topkapi are close by. Let Topkapi for last(is the biggest). Try also the spice market, fish market close by. The big bazzar is a MUST. Incredible pics, but do not buy anything. They are just big price. They have some "street food" musles with rice inside-GREAT ONES! Is a cemetery with wonderfull views. Also the yogurt in clay pots is yamy.
@@Theendlessadventure your roller coaster "ride" in Austria has spurred me on to do the toboggan they have there in Zakopane. We are going to Salzburg for 2 days on our way but not long enough to get to the coaster. Next best thing.
For Wiena. The comunication tower-plan a meal there, not expensive and the views to die for. The ONU city(you pass by in your way twords the tower), flea market (ask where and when it is-great food there), schonbrun(take a 1 day for all domain, the gardens ar magnific, the Gloriet on top is a must, even the carrige museum is surprising, the zoo). Buy a Vienna card(the discounts are legit and yes they worth plus gove you 72h of free transport). Please try Sacher törte with hot chocolate with sacher liquer in the citycenter at Sacher Hotel. You will have a surprise😊
Also see if you can get the half day trip outside Wien (tickets are sold at the Danube canal pier near citycenter). Go one day in Bratislava (first boat return with the last one). I do not say about Museum because I do not know in what you are interested but for me 10 days were not enought)
I really don't know what they called that dessert. "Side"? But, it is "irmik helvasi". The dessert itself is made with fine ground semolina with lots of butter and sugar. The topping is "pekmez" which is, as you guessed correctly, praperad with grape molasses mixed with "tahin" which is sesame paste, not peanut butter. :-)
Sad for you two and us that it was closed, would have been one of the more intresting places you visit! Intresting allsow that the place still exist. .... ! BarbroSweden
"ELEVEN dollars is kind of pricey" for that pottery kabob???? Seriously????? That was a very good sized entree portio by restaurant standards, I mean you guys lived in San Francisco for HOW LONG??? and you are complaining about that dish when you would have easily paid double that here just for the work that goes into it.
Cappadocia was one of the landskape were Paulus was out on mission travels =early christianity! I prefer ruanan from Scotland instead of ponchos! BarbroSweden
I would bet they'll probably in Slovenia already, and will probably be there for most of the month since they said they wanted to see a lot of the country
