We did the egg thing in science class and it does work. The vinegar dissolved the calcium and leaves the membrane intact (you probably shouldn’t bounce it too hard tho). We also made salt crystals but as far as I remember you need distilled water and a specific ration of salt and water. We also made small crystals first in a Petri dish and ties those to the string and left it.

Dan is probably so confused with Phil going: “OOO my rock is ready!”

The egg thing actually works really well! We can to do it in school my sophomore year of high school. The room smelt terrible, but it was really fun.
