those amazon red chips are a knock off. i ordered the same chip for my 01 7.3 from amazon that came in the same box as your. it runs like garbage (slightly better than stock) compared to my 00 with a genuine ts chip ( that is blue and has their logo like all their chips)
Daniel Castellanos clay at riff raff diesel told me that they stopped putting the codes because they weren’t matching up and there was a lot of calls about it. If you got it from clay the chip is programmed and good so don’t worry
