There is no Xscape sound without Kandi’s voice. Even when LaTocha sung lead and Tamika and Tiny were left off, they still needed Kandi’s background vocals to make the Xscape sound. Y’all going to stop playing about Kandi’s voice and none of them can hit that high note like she can. Tamika’s voice is just as great as LaTocha’s, so that’s why the trio can work.
Lies. They turned Kandi's vocals all the way down on their third album, and it was the best selling album. Toch sang most leads, with her voice over the other ladies on the chorus. Tocha can actually get up there with Kandi if you listen to their live version of "Who can I run to" Kandi is not the voice of Xscape.
It's because none of them can sing the low register that Kandi can sing. Thats what makes xscape who they are. When you have 3 Mezzo-Sopranos (Tiny, Tameka and Tocha) you need either a true Soprano or an alto/Contralto to blend with the mezzos to make the unique sound and that is Kandi.
Until they fall out & we’ll see how nasty he really is. Ion like people who say stuff like “starter homes”, cus im sure Latocha’s home is better than 3/4 of the people in these comments & he’s dissing yall too.
Thats why Kandi and Tiny could choose to tour or not. They weren't hurting for no money and wasn't gonna really benefit whether they sang or not. They have many bags.
and now tamika has many sources of income she missed out on those opportunities in the past but she getting the bag now and her husband is a celebrity bodyguard
But Tamika us doing good tho is what we saying and she got a cook show a cook book she's okay money wise and she's on good terms with kandi and tiny and they will help her they friends😊❤

It exposed Xscape skeletons bc LieTocha has ALWAYS been the mess behind their group since the 90s and UNLIKE SWV they dont deal with the conflict within, they sweep it under the rug and try to move on which festers til it blows up and thats simply bc Tamika and LieTocha were sisters and always no matter what til now had each other back regardless right or so very wrong. That it was a losing battle for Kandi and the times when tiny would side with her. So now that LieTocha has finally crossed Tamika and Tamika no longer side with her, the group can do what they were unable to do in the 90s and that's THE SHOW MUST GO ON. Cant say it was Kandi bc when Kandi refused to comeback and the 3 went on they STILL couldnt get it together to succeed. Why bc of LieTocha. Now that she is gone, they r happy and seem to b getting along while supporting each other. Nothing LieTocha touched has worked for her. Even when she jumped into reality each time she always had an issue, with the 1st Xscape reality, the 2nd as well as R&B Divas

So many performing acts run into this issue. Daryl Hall & John Oates most recently. Business partnerships get complicated as we get older and become different people. Short answer: She built this brand _with_ her sisters, and she don't want them going out and selling it _without_ her. Maybe she thinks that's "false advertising." Maybe she thinks they're "diluting the brand" with an "inferior" product. Maybe she's just old and petty. 🤷 I don't know about the alleged fraud and other disputes…
@@crnkmnky I understand they built the brand together. I could see if they wanted to kick her out or replace her and tour without her, but that’s not what happened. SHE wants to be solo.. She is saying they signed for a tour without her consent. So you don’t want to be apart but want to stop the other ladies from touring? Either you in or out. Or maybe she just wanted to get paid, but I can see her trying the fight them being able to tour out of bitterness.
I always thought that Tamika is the better singer. LaTocha does too much vocally. it comes off as trying too hard. Riffing and running all over the damn place. Tamika > LaTocha for me.
Listen, I was a huge Kelly fan from jump street. Assumed she was a sweet talented woman, but the reality of seeing how mean and nasty she could be when she didn’t have to be hurt my feelings as a diehard fan.

I have NEVER liked a single one of them ever since! ESPECIALLY KELLY PRICE, cuz whilst I was only mildly familiar with the other two; I actually LOVED Kelly Price! Smh! I lost ALL respect for her afterwards.
No sir!! Go watch some of Dawn’s interviews and realize she was NOT the problem!! She was just became a problem when she started to question where the money as going and tried to get the other members to open their eyes to it!!
EXACTLY! Dawn & LaTocha's situations were SO DIFFERENT. Dawn was SMART and was trying to get the others to wake up. Til this day those girls are still broke having to tour 250 days out of a year while the producers Foster & McElroy are still sitting on MILLIONS EnVogue made for them. EnVogue was supposed to renegotiate their contract but Terry was screwing one of the producers and living in his mansion and driving his cars thinking she was rich. She talked them out of it. Then he dumped her ass. They let Sylvia Rhone talk them into thinking they didn't need Dawn and they never had another hit after Dawn left. Dawn sang lead on their biggest song before she left or was dismissed. LaTocha thought because she had that golden voice she was going to make it without the other girls. Now she broke and crying.
