Big same on the straw. Had to drink a smoothie at DFW with a paper straw and it was an awful experience. I immediately bought a collapsible straw.

You should look at the leatherman style ps. I traveled all around the US with it had no issues. I took it to on a trip to Mexico and on the way back they didn’t like the pliers they called them “pinchers”. But other than going out of the country I had over 20 us flights with it before leaving Mexico and had no issues at all. And the pliers were a great usable size while still being compact and the scissors also came in handy.

They took my gerber prybrid and I didn’t even have a blade in it I’m not taking any gear by that logic they’ll take pliers lol

That sucks. I've flown with the Gerber EAB lite for a few rounds now (taking the blade out) and so far I've been ok. That is the thing you never know who is checking your bag, what they know, and what type of day they having.
