This is a video I recorded at the "Krometes" club in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki Greece 1999. Its Tsanakali, who had just had open heart surgery and still smoked and drank!!!! The Toumberleki is kir Niko who runs the cafe (visit him and say hi)... what a night, the singers name is Miltiadi and the old man dancing is Christo Kebabidi who also played lyra.....
Tsanakali passed away not long after (2000)?
I got him to play this b/c its my favourite song and he playes it on his Album with Sofia Papadopoulou...

My family is familiar with Tsanakalis. He even played at my cousins wedding in Thessaloniki. A man that was always praised. May he rest in peace.

really great kemence lyra the guy who is sinning is from argiroupoli drama he wrote so many beautifuls songs but he didi not share them so often he died few months ago i am from his village in greece lelewo tin kalatsis milto

oooooooohhh yammmaaassss. super muhabbet. Tsanakalis plays Russian songs "kalinka", he plays spanis songs "espanyola", he plays waltz. He is a very very big name in kemence history. Efharisto poli

the singer is from argiroupoli drama he wrote so many songs but he did not share them here the word I am also from his village he died few months ago A RE MILTO LELEWO TIN KALATSIS

Hello pontian69, thank you for sharing this wonderful video clip ;-) I'd like to point some thing out, another song called "bir tas attim alica" seems extremely close to what lyrist Tsanakalis is playing. I will not make any comments on behalf of myself, however, perhaps you can explain something ;-)
