Tsavorite is an ancient gemstone, one of the oldest forming stones in the gem kingdom. It formed almost 2 million years ago, named by Tiffany and Co after the area that it was first discovered, Tsavo in Kenya, East Africa. Since then only one other area, in Tanzania have been finding Tsavorite.
