Noct channeling his rage into TSB as revenge for Rpr roasting him on his introduction as coach.

They still got their mental so they're definitely gonna bounce back. All three of them also echoed that they definitely needed the release from stress so yesterday's scrims were ultimately beneficial for TSB, especially the last troll game they did. They've been consistently performing well and a lot of times the stress and pressure of maintaining it gets stacked. So I'm glad they ended yesterday's scrim with a mental reset

Yea scrim day 5 was very unfortunate for them, they have problem with their valko landing. If only axel was playing valk and altare playing wattson, valko landing will be much easier with his sudden change of plan. I remember axel play valkyrie and altare play wattson in team Rest in Ping during the kohaCup, no idea why they switched legend.

Imagine if the games didn't start in the middle of the night for Selen (dunno about Altare?) and they didn't all have 200+ ping. I've seen some moments where they get downed where from their perspective they have already reacted and gotten behind cover.

I'm just worried for game day pressure. Players can do great in the scrims but the mental pressure during the actual tournament often causes performance degradation. It's actually very common even for pros with tournament experience. rpr talks about it. Do great in practice and in scrims but the mental pressure to perform on game day is incredibly immense that even pros start doing bad. We (unfortunately) saw this with Team StartEnd. I was cheering them so hard. They performed so well during scrims and everyone built respectable reputations during it. Towa with her shotcalling, Aqua with her battle prowess (people started calling her "Mad Dog"), and Suisei's incredible gamer instincts (her being an APEX noob meant that she only costed like 3 pts but her performance was *way way* higher than her 3pts would suggest.). On Tournament Day, they unfortunately got targeted and eliminated, ending in 16th place. Due to various circumstances, this was the first and last time these three would ever be in a team together (hence why they called themselves StartEnd). Aqua's social anxiety makes it hard for her to play in a team, let alone in a tournament. Suisei, given her performance, is now worth *way* more than 3pts. Towa will obviously continue to participate when she can. They're all extremely busy and scheduling time for scrims for everyone is extremely hard. StartEnd *almost* didn't happen until Suisei's schedule miraculously opened up. Due to that, they all put a lot of pressure on themselves to perform well. Silver Lining for the journey of StartEnd is that they landed in 16th place, which is Shibuya Hal's lucky number. 16th place prize was top-of-the-line PCs for everyone, :D. My hopes remain high for TSB though. Even just this clip, they showed flexibility and resolve under pressure when Axel accidentally fell into the pit. They recovered and converted it into an opportunity. That's a optimistic sign!

Unfortunately this kind of tournament always attracts a lot FPS tourists who don't even follow the whole journey and has no respect for the liver. At this point we as a fans can only rely on the mods to deal with them and shower our fav with encouragement & support instead.

Yeah its unfortunate that he's receiving so much flak even thou he's really good a calling zones and putting his team in an advantageous position. The haters doesn't seem to understand how hard it is to IGL especially in a BR game that involves multiple variables heck I'm impressed he's able to shotcall well in his first VSaikyo.

@@-CFate- The tournament has team point limit system, each team is given limited points (e.g 20 points) to recruit players into their team. How many points a player worth is based on the highest level a player has achieved in their Apex career. Selen, for example, was a Predator-level before, so she is considered 10 points (so only 10 points left). Regis Altare only reached Platinum-level, so he worth only 3 points. This surprised many, since in this tournament he frequently scored a lot of kills and high damage points, unlike your average Platinum-level player.

Honestly, sometimes it feels like they do the best when it gets so chaotic that they can only rely on mechanics and quick decisions.

@@gancyr3D ya true. Their typical Western Apex servers monke mode kicked in. Ppl who play JP server are seriously good at map rotations, but they can be overly cautious which is not suitable for final ring. Good for me to play ranked whenever I feel like playing ranked as I get placement points. Since I am always bronze with my potato laptop. Hahaha

sometimes to beat the meta is to do off-meta can't expect the unxpected

someone suggested "Zone Prophet" in the comments it's probably in reference to his skill with coming up with good rotations and timing that considers enemy team positions and their likeliness to be busy fighting with someone else it's less predicting RNG but more working with his map knowledge and game IQ and experience
